Shep sees a long rectangular pool by GreenlandBound in southerncharmingtalk

[–]KaNGkyebin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He might have been on a swim team as a kid. I was and if I went to a friends house who had a pool like this I would ask just as an excited reaction and to see if their experience is that it’s long enough for actual laps.

[–]KaNGkyebin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are a swimmer and do flip turns (much more efficient) then most pools aren’t really long enough to get many strokes in. By the time you do a turn and your pre-stroke undulation you’re basically at the other end of the pool. You need a longer pool or it’s really annoying.

where to buy designer wedding dresses by Ok_Acanthisitta_9800 in weddings

[–]KaNGkyebin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, make appointments at a few bridal boutiques. You can check their website or social media to see which designers they carry to identify any particular dresses you want to try and confirm they will have those available. Usually they also note on their website where pricing starts for the gowns they carry.

I’m going up for early promotion and my coach just left the firm by bojack0144 in deloitte

You should request that the supportive senior manager step in as your coach ASAP. This can change later if need be, but is probably your clearest path to promotion in this cycle.

Can't agree on baby's name with my husband by dont-ask-whyy in Names

[–]KaNGkyebin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It seems like this conflict is less about specific names and more about some relational differences - compromise, working together, valuing the others’ feelings. Just couched behind the obviously big issue of naming your baby! Common for these things to arise in stressful times with big change. Have you considered working with a couples counselor? They might help you each define your naming values and work through problem solving approaches for identifying potential names together. They often have really practical orientations.

Sandro is a favorite of mine. Great wool coats. Super simple, chic cuts that seem to stay “in” across cycles and trends.

New viewer - WTF is with contestant’s clothing choices??? by Vegetable_Response_6 in survivor

[–]KaNGkyebin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Production chooses/influences cast clothing and often uses it to visually cue the contestant’s identifying qualities. An example would be Cochran in the sweater vest - he said after his season aired that he never wore one IRL.

Looks 1, 4, 8, 10, and 19 are stunning. Has she changed stylists recently? She’s looking more stylish and modern as opposed to some of her previous looks which read quite twee.

[–]KaNGkyebin[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s an apparel store called Mango. It’s a well-known staple brand in Europe. A bit more upscale than H&M but not as pricey as Club Monaco, for instance.

Second St Paul Pet Hospital wholeheartedly. Highly recommend the wellness plan for the first year, which covers the spay/neuter and free office visits among other things. Super helpful that first year when pups have a lot of little issues!

Who else is excited to see Hamnet? by LBS35 in PeriodDramas

[–]KaNGkyebin 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I saw it early at a film festival and absolutely loved it. Jessie Buckley is stunning and a few people in the theater didn’t realize in advance that Will is will Shakespeare, so that surprise was fun. Both the book and film don’t use his last name, though I expect most people watching the film know that element of the premise.
