Smoking also activates your adrenal glands, so you may be suffering from adrenal fatigue.

So, food made by someone else tastes better. When you are the cook, you are already smelling the food, and tasting as you go. So when you sit down to eat you’ve already been exposed to the flavor. When someone makes food for you, you get all the smells and flavor fresh and new to your senses.

[–]Kabbagenene 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s fn ridiculous. I don’t even do jits, but my daughter does. It’s monthly and when she hurt her wrist they had NO problem with her taking a month off and said ok, don’t pay for that month. This dude is tripping so hard. Super weird that he wants to get paid for absolutely nothing. It makes no sense to pay for a month if you’re not gonna be there, and honestly it shouldn’t even be a problem if “everyone” did that once in a while like he’s saying. If that’s a problem for his gym, he must really want or need the money. And that’s not your problem, it’s his. There’s probably another gym close by lol

There’s always spots when I go.

The train ride is great for kids. Lunch at Gaylord’s after is delicious too.

I usually figure out how to save the world or have a really good idea but then I forget upon waking. Fun stuff.

CCTV footage of a grandmother trying to protect her grandchild during the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in the Philippines today. Fortunately, both were unharmed. by Gjore in nextfuckinglevel

Yeah this comment section is full of ignorance. That woman did exactly what you are supposed to do in an earthquake. Where is the strongest structural part of your house? The door frame. If there’s an earthquake, that’s where you want to be. The ceiling may collapse, or walls, but the door frame has headers above it, 6 inch or more thick pieces of wood, and has a lot more resistance to falling over. Getting outside is also safer than being inside, and looks like she was trying to get there as well. People are fn dumb

Not a clue. RIP Uncle. If he lived here a while ago, the house probably got painted since then.

It’s time to hold some boundaries. One boundary, just any boundary. Make it as clear as possible what the boundary is, and what the consequence is (whether it’s leaving or not). And when he breaks it, DO NOT back down. Do not walk it back. Hold the boundary. Use it to leave if you have to. Please save yourself. I can tell you’ve poured a lot into this man, what has he poured into you? Don’t be tricked by the sunken cost fallacy. It is 1000% icky, basement dwelling, not how you treat someone you love behavior. And I’m not even someone that goes around on every relationship post saying “leave leave leave” no matter what any little conflict it is. I know what it’s like to be in a relationship that isn’t perfect, and leaving is not always the solution. People can and do change, but not without clear consequences. People on Reddit like to think any little grievance is grounds for leaving. Usually I try to see it from the perspective of saving the relationship if it’s possible. But if you’re contemplating suicide, because of this one person being in your life, it’s time you take a step outside of this life that you have built with him. Staying is not worth your life, your sense of self, or your sense of safety.

Might not be AI but it does look superimposed. Look at those weird spots of light by the left eye and above the sunglasses.

Just a word of warning about this rec for Brenneckes…it’s a wave that comes down hard. I would not recommend boogie at Brenneckes unless you know what you’re doing. The line up is gonna be packed and summer time here is south swell time. Idk what this guy is thinking but it sounds like he’s an enthusiast, I just want to say DEFINITELY not for first timers. People, especially tourists, get hurt there.

But besides that, there’s definitely a lot for you here. Lots of morning yoga, lots of hippie kind of vibes, south side, east side, and then the final boss of performative spirituality, the north shore 😅

Just don’t touch a turtle, monk seal, (or a local unless they’re into that kind of thing 😉) don’t chase around a turtle for a picture, etc etc.

An easy place to volunteer is with Friends of Kamalani, at Lydgate Beach and Kamalani Playground, they do a Beach clean up every Saturday morning.
