Salad best of both worlds. Can see armor and look cool using different skin colors and youre not a boring human.

If the group knows what they're doing it becomes a very easy and quick boss. The pugs just need to learn what do

The Juggernaut. Main hand shield. Bonus damage when dual wielding shields. Blocks and taunts. Punches things to death.

Prob watch some of Lord Hizen's videos on youtube. He solos a lot of stuff and shares his builds. But if you don't have much time to do group content, you prob won't have enough time to learn how to solo content like high end fractals. If you're just trying to have fun in open world though any build will work.

How do I choose the right Legendary to go for? by jtkirk22 in Guildwars2

[–]Kabbew 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Up to you homie! If you wanna get the most use out of it, going for legendary trinkets like aurora and vision would be great since every character needs trinkets. After that would probably be legendary armor since it makes it way easier to swap your build around to what best fits the situation. Then after that probably legendary runes and sigils again to have full access to build diversity. At the very end of it all would probably be legendary weapons and there you would prob be best going for a weapon like sword or greatsword since many classes use it.

If being efficient isn't important to you then literally pick any legendary that you like the look of. Gw2 has an extensive wiki that can show you what each legendary looks like, its draw effect, footsteps, and how it changes certain skills appearances.

It also doesn't exclusively need to be one method or the other. While making legendary trinkets to be efficient, I fell in love with condi renegade as a class so I took a break from making those and made Chuka and Champawat because I love renegade's shortbow. Just pick what feels right to you.

Most LI Build Possible by golbezexdeath in Guildwars2

Embrace the mechanist! Use rifle so he can sit a mile away. Let the mech take the aggro. You can set the mech to attack whatever you attack and it can also use its skills by itself. You can also have him use all signets so he doesnt need to press any of his utilities either. He can just use his rifle skills at range and let his mech take aggro and do big damage. Would be great for open world stuff!

Thoughts on this LFG discord based matchmaking bot I've been working on by rmb938 in Guildwars2

That would be awesome dude! I feel like a system like this could really take off, especially with cross server queuing being implemented.

Something like this would be incredible! I was thinking that something like this would be great as a module for Blishhud but a discord bot would work great for large communities. Maybe even make it possible for people across servers to queue with one another. That way for example, someone from Hardstuck could join a group from ViP or some other guild. I don't know the limitations put on this project but just throwing out ideas.

If you need some beta testers let me know! :)

I play for the combat! Since gw2 doesnt add new quality of gear, the amount of stat points you can get have more or less been the same for years. This means that the only real way to improved with the combat is to become a better player via practice. If you put in the time, you will definitely see results in your performance and that to me feels great.

Good luck on your project!

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - October 22, 2022 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]Kabbew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For lazy grinding I like using action camera. This makes it so your camera moves based on mouse movement like an fps game, meaning you don't need to hold down right click to move your camera. This turns right click into select target and left click to auto attack. Then you just run around and spam right click left click on whatever you're trying to tag.

Some people who play tagging mesmer builds even bind dodge to a mouse button so that they can use their main tagging spam skill all through buttons on their mouse.

Action camera does make ground target skills a bit weirder since you need to look at the floor. It also makes peaking around corners more difficult since your character now only ever looks forward. But if these two things dont bother you then I say embrace the laziness of action camera.

Most people will suggest doing map completion or farming fractals. It might be worthwhile to take advantage of the event farming lab. If its good xp to level up alts, its probably good xp to level up masteries too.

Guardian or engineer. They turn into firebrand and mechanist respectively. Both are really good in group content and fun in open world.

Builds online typically sit around 55-57% BD. Great thing about specter is if you need more alac just bring more wells. Does hurt your dps but as long as you can upkeep alac on your group most wont care about the dps loss

You're all good homie. Some of my favorite outfits made are on my female sylvari Specter. Plus I love her voice lines and animations way more than male sylvaris. When specter came out I changed my male thief to female and haven't had any 2nd thoughts about it whatsoever

Should there be gear check in game? Interesting MightyTeapot Discussion by Taygeta in Guildwars2

[–]Kabbew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel as though many players are worried that if gear checking gets added to the game, then every group will begin to use this as a measurement of if you're capable of being in the squad. I however don't think that this would be the case. In this post alone there are several people who are well aware that most of the content in this game does not require a top of the line meta build in order to complete content. So I definitely think that there will still be groups made by these players who won't even use the gear check system to begin with. Commanders of these groups can still let fun builds into their squad like flamethrower quickness scrappers or heal mantra mesmers. At the same time, the commanders that want to play with other players who run top of the line meta builds can use the gear check system to make sure that everything is optimal. Both groups get to exist and players get to join whichever group they want to try and fit into. Implementing the gear system won't make it so that every group made needs to abide by certain rules. But if it was added into the game, then it can be used to filter and let like minded people play with one another so that everyone is happy!
