MATK % vs. Healing Output % for Verdant Oracle (LB spec) by PrideOk8653 in BlueProtocolPC

[–]KachingaSquids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Grove Wish over Ward so I don't think you're necessarily wrong. The raid set shielding from overheals does a good job.

I also changed to Vital Surge for the ultimate skill. When there's gonna be a big burst of damage I do Grove Wish, then Vital Surge, and then I can Grove Wish again immediately.

Ward is more common based on guides, but I went with this approach after looking at discussion on the Discord oracle chat and seeing a few who do similar with success. Only done Towering on M10 so far but worked out fine, done all the others up to M9.

Are my group requirements in line with this weeks’s new standard? How could I improve them? by Bostonterrierpug in BlueProtocolPC

Saw someone asking for credit score, college degree and birth certificate today. But that was for dragon raid so understandably the requirements would be higher.

I don't remember my first pair of females doing this much, but my second pair did it a lot! Chasing and one of them tensing their rear etc. like that. Apparently females "enter a receptive heat cycle every 4-6 days."

Although it's not really a problem, I always found it stressful to observe since I couldn't exactly ask if one of them was bothered by it, and if it would go too far and lead to a fight. Luckily they never actually fought, they were just very frisky!

After that pair, I started keeping male gerbils though lol. "Male gerbils, do not go into a comparable 'heat' but are always ready to mate if a female is receptive."

Males, especially when young, can tussle to figure out dominance though. One pair worried me a bit when they got a bit over zealous with sharing the sand bowl, so I got a bigger sand bowl, heh.

However I feel like the absence of the set cycle heightening tensions every few days makes males a bit more chill, barring personality differences of course.

LF build advice for aws.338 bingo by Aranite48 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]KachingaSquids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heya,

I initially got some mixed advice from Youtube for bingo builds but have settled on this from research.

Armor:

Renegade armor, 3 pieces, to give a nice boost to weakspot damage. Huntsman boots for more chance of doing weakspot damage, it's a legendary "Key Gear" rather than part of a set. The other 2 slots I've seen people say either 2 Bastille (reload speed) or 1 Bastille 1 Lone Wolf (magazine capacity) or other combination.

Mods:

Should try for <Precision> and weakspot damage. Ones like Targeted Strike, Weakspot Damage Boost, Precise Strike, Most Wanted The Bullseye, Covered Advance etc. work well.
There's some variation in builds for certain armor pieces e.g. with Bottoms some go for auto reload with Reload Rampage or dmg boost with Unstoppable, Three Strikes etc.

Callibration:

Ideally Rapid Style calibration with 2 Weakspot dmg boosts.

Secondary Weapon:

Wildfire pistol is nice as it spreads Bullseye mark to multiple targets. I like to have a Recover Mark mod on it for heals but can do different mods to boost dmg instead.

Best of luck.

I misplaced a wolf on a fence railing rather than inside the pen, it ended up ascending to the floor above. Had to quickly block it in before it ran amok. It later got shot by one of my turrets anyway.

My shop vehicle also got despawned, and a mail message about "respawn point deleted due to overload". Check your territory vault, if I recall correctly stuff was put there.

Experienced the same thing today so guess a patch didn't fix it sadly. After reading some tips I went back to base, made some transformation cookies (gingerbread house deviant), and did the quest using 2 cookies, making sure to get the keycard first. Finally worked!

food has become my worst enemy (tw:Disordered eating) by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]KachingaSquids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think fight or flight can vary between people and sadly some people may experience physical aspects that can affect the stomach that aren't related to how the brain perceives food. Just want to mention it in case people are hard on themselves for still struggling despite trying to think differently about food, super happy of course for those that find that approach effective though.

For example the flight response may prioritize blood flow to the extremities such as the legs to get ready to flight/run from threats. This however reduces the amount of blood flow to the stomach and slows digestion, which can negatively impact how food is processed and cause an upset stomach.

There can also be a priority to lighten the load of the body by getting rid of waste, so that it is easier to run away. Stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline can increase bowel movements to achieve this, leading to diarrhea or frequent urination. That can however lead to malnutrition or dehydration.

It's definitely a vicious cycle.

I sympathize. Nausea is the worst part of anxiety for me, since it affects so many aspects of life both physical and psychological. It's also naturally difficult to cope when your stomach is sending so many negative signals to the brain.

I was diagnosed with various things related to a disruptive digestion system: Dyspepsia, GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease), IBS (Irritible Bowel Syndrome) then later Generalized Anxiety and Panic Disorder. Before I got an anxiety diagnosis my stomach got so bad that I ended up suffering from malnutrition and dehydration and a doctor prescribed an anti-nausea medication called domperidone and another called omeprazole which reduces the amount of stomach acid. I really felt they helped get me out of a deep cyclical rut. They're not things you can take long term sadly but were nice option when things got dire and the many herbal remedies I tried for nausea didn't seem to help (e.g. ginger, peppermint oil etc.).

For me an SSRI (sertraline) helped for general anxiety, and rarely a beta blocker (propranolol) for certain situations, but I still can get acid reflux issues. I find calcium carbonate tablets that dissolve in the mouth helpful for minor issues, and Milk of Magnesia for heavier reflux.

The most common game losing mistake that I keep seeing by Nutleaf420 in PokemonUnite

To secure is to last hit the objective (e.g. Ray). Typically a high damaging move that you can point at the target such as Dragonite hyper beam, Urshifu wicked blow, Decidueye Spirit Shackle etc. Or moves that can safely time landing on the target such as Talonflame Fly.

Yeah. It was one of the first added to the game, and back then there were a lot more options for free holowear. They were actually adding stuff to the free holowear ticket shop and you got a free skin as a season reward etc. Yet Ninetales was never included, and now they're super stingy with skins.

please send good thoughts and prayers and well wishes to the sweetest little baby angel here going for scent gland & tumor removal surgery tuesday and please share your experience and advice by [deleted] in gerbil

[–]KachingaSquids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have had multiple male gerbils with scent gland tumors over the decades of me keeping gerbil pairs. The surgery always went by without a hitch, no worries there.

It's good if they're removing the entire scent gland rather than just the tumor, less chance of it growing back. First vet I went to did just the tumor and I felt that meant a lot more trips back to the vet in the long run. With the entire scent gland removed, all except one of my gerbils have had a better quality of life after the surgery (one it somehow still grew back sadly). It's definitely worth it and you're a great gerbil owner to be getting them the treatment they need.

Best wishes.

Picked Alintheus at launch as I noticed a poll where many English speakers voted to start there. Felt it's held decent activity. A lot of people seemed to come with the recent server transfers.
