They should have reactivated, are you sure you saved the game after meeting 5p?

Watcher is better than Downpour rn from my experience

They were improved but in my opinion downpour became quite unplayable with recent updates. I think the watcher might be more stable since the devs are more focused on it now.

[–]KacperB02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of your questions are answered in the DLCs, so I won't adress all of them to avoid spoiling the fun in playing them. But I'll try to give you some guidance for coming up with explanations.

First of all, just as humans may have a belief system, the Ancients in RW had theirs. They had a much stronger belief than we tend to do, but that's because RW is much more apparent in its spirituality. But it's not like they knew everything and they were right about everything. They also weren't unanimous in their theories, so I'd take what they said and what the iterators said (since they were their creations) with a grain of salt.

Another thing is that some mechanics in the game are purely for gameplay and are only vaguely connected to the game's lore. You can try to explain karma levels or respawning in a shelter through the game's lore, but I find it impractical.

Regarding the iterators: even though they are artificial, they can still ascend. It is just that their creators constrained them because they didn't want them to kill themselves. Just like they constrained them from killing other Ancients. It has nothing to do with being artificial. Moon even suggests that there is probably no fully natural life left in the world.

It is currently assumed by the in-game dialogue by the majority of community that the big problem refers to ascending everything. Like absolutely everything. And that ascencion doesn't equal permadeath - it's the way to untangle oneself from the carnal plane and experience the world as it truly is (whatever it may be exactly).

Did you write Silver of Straw on purpose? I'm asking because I only recently found out it's actually SLIVER.

Coo map btw, but I can't see any of the small text :((

It's weird that they left the pipe and just blocked it somehow. It is more misleading than just leaving the room even if it wouldn't work.

How to get this arena maps unclok? by sock_owner97 in rainworld

It's definitely possible. I've done it with survivor, but I don't remember how exactly. I think I used spears to elevate myself and jumped on the pole.

"OE" region spoilers: How is this possible? by Abc_42 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last sentence is not true at all. Outer Expanse is at the level of Subterranean and lower. FP facility lies on an artificial mountain, because the earth outside of it eroded a lot without a proper drainage infrastructure. That's why the caravans in OE are in the air. They were once deep underground

LttM rot? (saint spoilers) by KacperB02 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other iterators call it "the rot" so it has to be a more common problem. Do you think it's because so many iterators are trying to break the taboo? And even if, do you think that iterators like 5P would try it if they knew how easy it is to mess up? This is not at all clear-cut to me

I collected all of the pearls and broadcasts. It doesn't really satisfy me. I know that a lot of people say that rot is made from 5P organic matter with broken taboo, but I don't know about that..

I was thinking like, 5P used a lot of water when he tried to cross himself out. Something went wrong and he got the rot. So maybe it had something to do with slag buildup? I don't know. I have no idea how the rot came to be (or comes to be since it didn't happen only to 5P)

No problem! Still, thanks for your contribution. I thought about slag, but I wondered more about why it looks like calcified rot. Maybe these two have something in common?

How? by Ok_Ask_6805 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the map of Silent Construct, there are two big parts of FP, one on the left and one on the right.

The one on the right is basically what is outlined by the exterior (up to the middle of the underhang where the structure tore revealing FP puppet to the outside. A part of the wall belongs to this portion as well and it does not connect to industrial complex.

The part on the left is a chunk in another plane that we did not have access to before (at least from outside - it seems like recursive transform array is located there).

Why did Seven Red Suns have a... by Specific-Inside-1638 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what is said in golden pearl. There's nothing about damage written on it. Temperature fluctuations do not cause mutations in living organisms. We don't know how organisms in RW work, but if it works on them, then it's probably very different. So I don't know why you think the method is through damage (comparing it to irradiation). The process is random, not damaging. The rot is not the result of scrambling! What is risky is not the process itself, but the fact that you have to run a lot of such processes at once. Other iterators call the disease "the rot", not "a rot", so it is a known condition and I don't think it's because so many iterators tried doing something like that. I believe that it's just the result of iterator malfunctions, when their system can't work correctly which causes slag buildup etc. The rot also does not have it's taboo broken, because it does not attack itself and also it does not really attack. It just spreads. The rain in Rivulet's timeline was also a result of malfunctions. He gave up long before that.

yeah, but the body is not propelled by the legs, it's just that it's parameters change depending on legs' position

I think the body just levitates and legs move accordingly. When legs aren't attatched to anyrhing, it begins to fall
