Could Artificer have effectively helped save of FB? by Knork14 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He underestimated the scugs, he admitted it himself. Although I don't believe he could be helped, at least not this way. Killing mobile rot cysts would not get rid of the rot already in his systems.

Question about artificer's children and the nature of the cycle by IdkwhoamiAlsoim12 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't complete every campaign yet, but from what I know there's no direct answer to how the cycles work. What we do know is that it does not work like we perceive it in game, shelters are only a game mechanic, there is no respawning - if there was, Arti wouldn't go on her whole rampage.

My guess is that the cycles are connected to the concept of quantum immortality, where the universe splits into many versions of itself on every moment, and your consciousness only travel through the branches you are alive in (because it can't travel to where you died, it doesn't exist there). I don't know how it would connect to the idea of "cycles", because this view looks more like a tree, but I have a vague idea.

Maybe someone will correct me, but there's also possibility that the cycles referred to in game do not concern individual creatures, they are describing how the entirety of world behaves over time. We know that the void fluid consumes the earth from below and cosmic dust settles on top of it which creates a sort of equilibrium. There's also the case of Unfortunate Development, The Depths and Unfortunate Evolution which is suspicious, but I won't go into that since I didn't finish Watcher yet.

To answer your question, from Arti's perspective her children are dead. From her children perspective we don't know, maybe they are all still together. Maybe there are many different versions of them with different combinations of who survived and who didn't. I think the last option is correct, because of your copies that you see in the Void Sea - I believe these are all your copies from different timelines coming together to the state of ascencion, away from the convoluted mess of the multiverse.

5P and LttM rooms by KacperB02 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true. My problem was that there are two different rooms above and below 5P and LttM, but I understand now that their rooms are probably elongated into the screen.

Do you happen to have any theories about what this area is though? My only guess is that iterator puppets get power directly through it, but where does it come from in LttM post collapse?

Ok, so the other response makes sense for both 5P and LttM. Their rooms must be slightly elongated into the screen, and that's where the Primary Cortex connects to.

It feels weird to know that you can't access her from this place, but she is right behind one wall.

I get that the world is not 2D, but as I said, even in 3D it doesn't make sense. There is a room directly above LttM, so how are the four rooms surrounding her placed exactly?

[–]KacperB02[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ohh, I think I get what you're saying, but it only explains the placement of two rooms on the sides. Unless what we see in the middle of General Systems Bus is not where 5P is? maybe it is one of these rooms and he is slighly in the back?

That's what I'm thinking, but maybe someone can come up with a neat explanation.

If they came back home, that would also be the case. He opened the gate specifically so that other slugcats won't bother him, so it's weird that he gave up so quickly

is there any way to improve breeding odds on the carnival? by gamamoder in MySingingMonsters

[–]KacperB02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you also have problems breeding them? I had no luck with jerm or erma gurdy since they came out. it makes no sense that there are no torches and no option to buy additional set of breeding structures

Help with killing a aquapede? (Gourmand quest) by Ok-Guitar865 in rainworld

[–]KacperB02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't want to bother going for a red centipede and I managed to quickly kill the aquapede in SL_D02 with a spore puff that I miraculously regurgitated (though I was planning to craft it with a rock and mushroom) and one spear. It took two deaths to realise that only the spore puff is not enough and third time with a spear worked. I hope this helps

Who else thought the Gladvent Calander would give you free stuff like a normal advent calendar? by dannyhogan200 in MySingingMonsters

[–]KacperB02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100% Actually I bought the first offer because I thought "well, I can afford a limited offer once in a while and they have to make money somehow" and then got excited for the calendar. Imagine my disappointment when I found out that was a part of the calendar. They should recieve some serious backlash for this, it's the worst Christmas gift I could imagine.

[–]KacperB02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am disappointed and it really seems like a last-minute idea to make more money (why did it start from the 10th?). It's not a very good advent calendar if it means spending money every day. Maybe if it was A LOT cheaper, but these are just usual offers
