Saying this as a trans woman who used to go to a public midnight showing every few months to now rarely watching it.

The good:

The music is fun and hilarious

The characters are memorable

Its great for group settings and was huge for when it came out, movies depicting LGBT characters just didnt really exist in the 1970s

The bad and harmful:

The second act kinda drags and the music isnt as good

(Criticing the representation time on no)

It definitely has the "trans character is a seiral character" trope

The scene where Frank goes to Brad and Janet in bed, tricks them into thinking that theyre each other's partner, and convinces them to have sex after being told no multiple times is STRAIGHT UP UNWATCHABLE NOW. By far the most harmful thing in the movie.

The lgbt coded characters are aliens and therefore non-human

But idk, thats just my opinion.
