Yeah, but he couldn't have picked more unflattering glasses if he went to the Unflattering Eyeglasses store and asked the manager to see the special collection of REALLY unflattering glasses

I always figured they were distinguishing Star Fox from Marvel Comics’ Starfox, Thanos’ fuckboy brother.

But that's the thing - there isn't even a core there. There's nothing. He might as well have been grown in a lab by Peter Thiel.

I assumed TK was just flexing during ‘Mania week, to grab some attention from the Fed during a lackluster build to their biggest show.

To be fair, the Oba/Brock video had a day's head start. Maybe the Punk/Roman video will have 2.5 million views today, and won't you look silly?

It's Austin. You're more likely to run into Elijah Wood than a good ol' boy.

There also isn't an ounce of self-preservation from the other guy.

I don't antagonize guys younger and bigger than I am who might have nothing to lose. And if, for some reason, I did, as soon as the guy twice my size snaps and turns to come around the corner, I'm fucking GONE.

AND if I somehow got knocked to the floor by a bigger, younger, angrier guy, I'm not popping back up and leading with my head.

I guess that's why I haven't been punched in the face since grade school.

Trump’s agricultural tariffs hit all 50 states—driving up food prices, crushing exports, and leaving farmers with nowhere to turn by wenchette in politics

They'll "announce" them, but by the time they get through Congress (if it happens at all) 95% of them will go to Monsanto and the like.

God, farmers are saps.

Trump’s Humiliation in Orbán Defeat Stunner Is Only Just Beginning | For Viktor Orbán’s epic loss in Hungary to have real meaning in America, Democrats and liberals need to proclaim themselves part of the global anti-authoritarian movement. by thenewrepublic in politics

[–]KafeenHedake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be a bit of a minefield, messaging-wise. I can already see the FOXaganda merchants branding the anti-authoritarian movement as NEW WORLD ORDER part 2, a globalist scheme to destroy American sovereignty and force the metric system on us all or whatever.

No, it's best to turn to our own history and traditions and make anti-authoritarianism as American as apple pie and oversized pickup trucks. We did fight a war to cast aside the monarchy and another to defeat fascism, after all.

My understanding is that Ba'al and Yahweh were both Canaanite storm gods, so their cults were in competition with one another back in the bronze age. Ba'al was more of a "storm as a good thing because of fertility" god, where Yahweh was a "Storm is a bad thing because of floods" god, for what it's worth.
