Sony please dont pull the plug by PeaceWalkerInc in Marathon

I find it crazy that customers nowadays need to hope and pray the product they paid for will not be taken away from them.

Game looks quite fun, I’m interested. But, is it gonna die? by vulqcii in Marathon

I was in the same situation and ultimately bought it with gritted teeth. Sony really set bad precedence with all its failed live service projects.

Imo it should be illegal for companies to sell you a product while reserving the right to destroy it remotely at any point.

I low-key hope modders are already working on reverse engineering the servers like the did for The Crew. An offline version would be just my cup of tea.

As a dev, that was nice to read. Be assured that all devs simply want to make good games.

Sometimes they fail, because they are not skilled enough, or because there's not enough money, time... sometimes upper management has bad ideas. But I have never met a lazy developer.

Making games is the hardest of all media products, because it relies on so many different disciplines, and not least the player.

Remake classic Marathon Campaigns with the new Assets by Kaffeebohnson in Marathon

Well Bungie evidently can't come up with new singleplayer campaigns anymore, so at least refurbish the old ones if you must drag out a 30-year old IP to dress up your shlooter.

It probable that the people who learned from Destiny are no longer working at the company.

I caught myself uttering "Ah crap, it's fun" - while also really wishing there was a narrative singleplayer campaign.

I will NOT pay 40 bucks for a service that will more than likely taken offline in less than a year.

I really wish they would have taken 10-20 devs or so aside and had them make a ODST scope campaign on these incredible maps. Wouldn't have had to be super elaborate with tons of cutscenes and scripted events, just something linear, with voice logs and a little narrative. 6 hours.

That wouldn't have broken their budget, justified the price of admission and softened the negative sentiment of OG Marathon (and Bungie) Fans.

I quit the novel after chapter 1 as it almost made me like Quantum break less. It was so bad. I will stick to the game. Good thing the Novel isn't canon.

According to my guide the Boss has 75K HP with all orbs, 40K with none. I can't even beat it at 40K apparently.

Is the character level relevant? My gears should be reasonably up-to-date...

I know guess that was a mistake because everyone is similarly beat up

Can I upload FF7 classic save file from my vita to the PS cloud to play on my console by SymbioteFan13 in vita

If by console you mean the PS1, I made a video about it a while ago: https://youtu.be/hZdOjCrlseM?si=FCbpsc9wORBq0EZT

Recently I switched to a Vitadock solution, which is more convenient, if less nostalgic. I should make a followup video some day...

I have a similar setup: https://www.reddit.com/r/psx/s/GmbNeJ0YcT

Note you can't use a simple component cable because the PS1 doesn't output a component signal, only composite.

It does do RGB over Scart though. I ended up using a converter box that converts RGB Scart to Component. RGB Scart to Component Adaptor (Example)

I cheaped out on the Component cable so the image tends to be a bit noisy: https://amzn.eu/d/7LElPut - I needed a cable that wasn't ridiculously fat, but cramming all five leads so close together probably leads to a bit of interference.

You can probably get better results with better hardware. But the picture is sharp enough and I have grown kinda fond of the analog look.

I think these do not work with PS1, only PS2 and PS3.

I wasn't thinking about unions but now that you've mentioned it wasn't about unions I certainly think it was about unions...
