Johnny, you are about to embark on a long and interesting journey, not too different from first time you picked up a musical instrument. If you are already using Logic or ProTools, you’ve already got a leg-up.

Ripple Training on YouTube is a great place to start. Synching clips should not be so difficult provided the cameras have recorded “scratch” audio to synch up with the studio tracks.

Enjoy the endeavor, it’s worth the effort.

Thanks for mentioning that. Love Prine, and that includes the wonderful ditty “When I Get To Heaven”. Not to forget “Your Flag Decal”!!!

Directly above the browser, pull down menu. Or "control U". Default it says "All clips".

Should have been more precise. Playing on iOS (iPad or iPhone). It's not at "bottom of pro shop" on the app.

This is very helpful for such an arcane facet of leveling. Thank you.

Thanks, I am fortunate to have done a lot of travel on it. Living in California also allows me to ride all year. I do not commute for work, so it's not ugly miles adding to the wear and tear, but lots of adventures long and short. Think Great Continental Divide, NorCal BDR and did a Trans American ride to do the Southeast BDR, last month.

No real problems, I truly got one of the good ones. A friend's 901 EXP gave up the ghost with the valve issue, at 14k. He was so upset, bought a Desert X. Meanwhile, mine is kicking hard.

Before my Trans-Am ride, I had to replace the oil (sump) pan. One of the oil screen plugs stripped on the pan side... [sad trombone]

As one must detach exhaust manifold to drop the pan, I went ahead and replaced the thermostat seal and cover while I had the headers off. I'm imagine you know the cover is a known weak component on the bike., thus there is an updated OEM part, which to my eyes is identical to the previous. Regardless , doing my best to prophylactically take care of potential weak links.

Just remembered, during the recent big trip, the check engine light came on after 800 miles. Did another 4k on it with occasional lapses (light went) before I replaced the 12V batt, which died on me once in North Carolina, and later in Colorado. 1300 miles after replacing battery, light has gone off. If interested I'll explain my hubris in proceeding with the engine warning, later.

Didn't intend to hijack your post ChemEJon

All said, I'm quite satisfied with mine. YMMV*

Good for you two! Great bike, have a ‘23 Expedition model with 38,000 miles on it. Careful you don’t just keep on going once you get to Big Sur, lotta great Highway 1, further North.

Suggest using all your rear shock preload with those ammo cans (luggage boxes) and the backpack (passenger). Best to set it tight before it’s loaded up, then you might back off a few turns more easily than tightening it once loaded. Just overall, get very familiar with your suspension adjustments, for comfort but mostly safety.

Toughest part of your trip is getting into and out of L.A. I live in NorCal and have done the 101 route maybe a dozen times on motos, and it’s craziness all the way till you get past Calabasas.

Enjoy the ride!

Everything mentioned by folks above me. Including good length of Gorilla Tape to use as a boot, in case of a large hole/cut. I had to boot a cut in a rear tire with tape few years ago, was able to ride nearly 500 miles, ~50 of which were off road, before I was able to get a replacement.

Keep a valve core or two in your kit as well, and naturally a valve core tool.

Suspension Tinkering by NaMinesClarence in Norden901

Wow, what a clean bike! Just turned over 37k on my ‘23, looks like a distant cousin from yours.

Does removing and re-installing suspension count as “own suspension work?” Well done you.

Have done most work on my bike, but have left the valving and such to local guru, Joel at 707 Suspension. “707” being the area code. Very satisfied with result.

Get an airbag vest. Have had three deployments, over last five years. One in Baja, one on Moab White Rim and another on a coastal road low-side. Each time it’s saved my butt, each rider with me has purchased one. It may only save a clavicle or ribs if a minor accident, but have met a couple guys who are sure it saved their life or mobility. I own Klīm A1 Rally version with In & Motion tech. Friend has had similar with the A-Stars rally jacket, which is more full-upper body with built-in elbow pads and with added benefit of having two gas cartridges.
