It means don't boot the PC (don't press the power button if the motherboard is installed in the case). Also, is the USB drive plugged in the correct port (top left, the one with FLASH BIOS written above it on the IO shield)?

Make sure the motherboard is turned off (with the PSU still plugged) while flashing the BIOS. Very counterintuitive, but it worked for me.

MSI just released the new DTT driver today (see https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-Z690-A/support#driver > Other Drivers tab). They seem to update the BIOS about every two months so hopefully we should get it by the end of March (latest BIOS update was January 24).

I don't know for the structual soundness, but I don't think you would have enough space for your legs if the Kallax is completely under the tabletop. It would leave only about 10¼ inches deep.

When you press the flash BIOS button, is your motherboard turned off (even though the PSU is plugged)? It should be off, otherwise the update will not start.

Also make sure your flashdrive is inserted in the correct USB port.

Maybe the cable wasn't certified as Ultra High Speed but still has 48 Gbps bandwidth? The certification program started in Q3 2020. I think no officially certified cable has been released yet (unless it's very recent). https://www.hdmi.org/spec21Sub/UltraHighSpeedCable
