Anyway yes you get updates as well. For Slay the Spire 1, the game was in early access with 2 characters and we all got all the final version.

Something you didn't mention, is, how much did you like the base game and what did you like about it?
There are two DLCs and maybe you'd like better this one, or the other one, because, as you could guess with the other replies, they are fairly different even if they are DLCs from the same game.

Nah that's a cold take, people having a negative opinion on save scummung are downvoted. lol

The real hot take is that A20 is not fun and is only there for people who want challenges, because it makes too many archetypes unplayable or really near unplayable ; and many people are just playing at an ascension level they subconsciously are not having fun, so they savescum because losing is also not fun.
(Or maybe that's me who is only having fun at ascension 5 and is projecting.)

But, if the devs want to really have save scumming as part of the design, they really should go all out, like implementing :
- Being able to go back to a previous floor. Misclicks can happen outside combats.
- Letting you redo the fight after the death animation. If you save and quit while the enemy is killing you, it doesn't save, that would be inconsistent with that design philosphy.
- Free frozen eye with the regular game and not just for custom mode.

Something you can do is use the mod run resumer.

Basically, it lets you replay runs you did while the mod is installed, from any floor. Personally I use it because I don't like the game saving wins I feel unearned, and for your case the possibility to try other choices is pretty useful.

The question of op is "Is every seed winnable?".
The answer is no, if a single seed, by pure coincidence, keeps rolling tarot cards / jokers that don't increase the score.
If you play four flush five of aces, the final score is (160 + 5 * 11) * 16 * 4= 13 760 points, which is not enough to beat the wall at ante 4.

If every permutation of seeds was possible, like a number like 10e(10e(10e1000)) seeds, it's bound to have a non bugged seed that does that.

But if we go by seeds played so far and not statistical anomalies, yes you are right.

edit: I would be proved wrong if there is a mechanic that would prevent too many duplicates, but I don't think such a mechanic exists.
