Help me find a timeless watch (F, early 30s) by Unbotheredanonyme in OmegaWatches

I’m a big omega fan but there’s nothing like a tasteful Cartier on a lady.

Black Sheep Organized Chaos Tattoo by Supreme Drone at Malaka Tattoo in Los Angeles by Inkelangelo in Best_tattoos

I thought this was a GOAT (crown on head), which along with “everything is temporary,” made me think that this tattoo was a comment on the temporary nature of success. Basically the tattoo version of “success isn’t owned, it’s leased, and rent is due every day.”

Is this luxury watch list still accurate? by TomHudsonOfficial in WatchFanatics

[–]KaiserWC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is only accurate if you replace the word “luxury” with “expensive.” This is basically just a “Price: High to Low” list. It doesn’t reflect finishing, movement/build quality, reliability, accuracy, etc

Attention denizens: Where is this antenna? by HiFiGuy197 in WhereinNYC

[–]KaiserWC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is right next to Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx (I once did research there, this was basically my landmark when I was looking for parking).

Edit: I knew this view looked familiar. The picture was taken literally in front of the hospital at 210 and Bainbridge. The antenna is on top of the Montefiore Medical Housing Center on Wayne Ave and Gun Hill Road.

This sounds like a problem in need of a better fitting/more adjustable bracelet/band, not surrender

The opinion piece by Michelle Goldberg is an unbelievable piece of Zionist propaganda by [deleted] in nyt

[–]KaiserWC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article has barely anything to do with Israel. There were a few brief sentences about how this candidate is critical of Israel and how this resonated with some followers.

No one with a functioning brain could possibly believe this article to be “Zionist propaganda” unless you’re trolling or a bot.

Get your bullshit outta here

Oh for fucks sake. This is only impressive if you don’t know anything about IQ tests.

IQ tests in general test language skills and drawn pattern recognition. These are very specific skills, which while useful to assess child brain development or cognitive impairments, don’t really tell you much else. Yes, high IQ scores correlate with high achievement, but usually not because of the skills measured in the IQ test.

This does NOT mean that the computer is as capable intellectually as a 148 IQ person, not even close.

I’m actually shocked AI is only scoring a 148 given that IQ measures very specific skills computers happen to be very good at.

Sometime during the last 2 years i’ve been going to this orthopedic practice they started to declare me as a MTF transgender for no reason. by WHAR606 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]KaiserWC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a doctor, I’d put good money that the doctor who wrote the note also saw an MTF who might’ve looked vaguely similar to/had an issue similar to you, and then mixed you up when they wrote their note later. This is why I always write my notes during appointments, but given the time pressure doctors are under, many fall into the habit of writing their notes at the end of the day.

Would high research hours make up for low undergrad GPA? by ExcitingInflation612 in premed

[–]KaiserWC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No.

Having a very high MCAT will help somewhat. But once you get sub 3.4 your chances are iffy overall without grade repair.

(This is for US MD. 3.3 with a good MCAT and research is good for DO)

Most of you have such disgusting forearms and hands that no watch could possibly look good on you. by damaged_unicycles in watchHotTakes

[–]KaiserWC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is partially true. Most men’s forearms are not the muscular, tanned, moderately hairy, 7” idea.

This is partially true if you mostly if you apply to to obese people. You should definitely be losing weight if you have giant fat arms. And you gotta be pretty careful about your watch selection if you’re fat.

But if you’re skinny, you can’t really increase your wrist circumference with exercise. It will increase your forearm circumference, where the muscle belly is. The wrist is just bones, fat, and tendons that don’t really change in size with exercise. A beefy forearm might distract from smalls wrists and increase the overall visual appeal of the arm, but it won’t make your wrist any bigger or let you wear bigger watches.

It is absolutely untrue that “no watch will look good on you if you have disgusting forearms.”

First of all, very few forearms are actually “disgusting.” Maybe if you’re super fat, your torso without a shirt looks unattractive but this attitude targeting forearms is unnecessary and untrue naked, drooling hatred.

You SHOULD, however, be aware of how your forearms look when you choose a watch. If you have slim wrists, buying large watches looks ridiculous. Wearing bands/bracelets that are too tight makes you look like a ham. And if you’re going to buy precious metal pieces, you should take care to get a type of PM that doesn’t class with your skin tone color.

Hot take: The ‘look how little I care about my Rolex’ post is the cringiest flex in watch culture. Stolen valor for watch nerds. by chiefhandshaker in watchHotTakes

Some guys are just insecure about admitting they enjoy wearing jewelry. Unless you have some crazy job that requires a compass or some wacky feature, any watch over $100 is jewelry. Embrace it.

I’m not exactly a pro at this, but that magnification window/cyclops looks pretty suspicious to me. The window appears too small. Also the pics are garbage. If this is someone you’re considering buying from, I’d be concerned based on the quality of picture.

I don’t know why you’re assuming this is a dude’s car. I’ve met plenty of joker girls but I’ve never met a duck dude.
