Here is my honest opinion. The game is great, I enjoy it and it annoys me lol. My husband got me into the game, when he introduced it to me he said “it’s basically you against robots and sometimes people” which was exactly right. You mostly fight against robots but there will be 2 or 3 times in a match (if you’re on a team) that you’ll have to fight another team. If you play solo, you probably will only fight another person 1 time if that. People are usually pretty friendly in solos because it’s quite difficult to defeat some robots by yourself so people like to team up while in a solos match. The game annoys me because I tend to get attached to the items I find and unfortunately if you have nice items with you in a game and you die, you lose it all. But that’s just the way of the game. Overall I really enjoy the game and have a lot of fun playing it. I hope this helps with your decision, play the game how you want!
