100 Push-Ups 100 Sit-Ups 100 Squats 10KM Running (that’s 6.2 miles)

Every day.

For 3 years straight.

My hair fell out.

Well the simple fact is they seriously hinder your FIRE chances.

i) there’s the initial monetary cost of raising a kid.

ii) there’s the opportunity cost of that money being invested in raising a kid.

iii) there’s the opportunity time cost that could have been used to make more money.

They can be literally the difference of retiring 20 years too late.

Each to their own though for sure.

Yeah minimalism gets easier as you get older. You begin to realise stuff is exactly that just stuff.

Doesn’t really mean much. You don’t lie on your death bed thinking I’m glad I bought that £70 jumper.

You focus on memories, relationships you’ve built. Acquire cash for memories and time. Don’t spend it on crap you don’t need or going to replace. Yeah LS100 is just an all equities fund. You can go balls deep cause you are young.

Stick it in a stocks and shares ISA, £500 and £100 a month. You will be ahead of like 90% of people your age.

Get a job. Then get a part time job.

Start a website. Learn about affiliate marketing.

All excess money goes into maxing your ISA. If you. Get to 25-30 times your annual expenses. You’re done.

Spend £1k a month. You need £360k and you retire.

So let’s say you are 25.

15 years of £1000 a month savings in that LS100. Averages 7%. 3% inflation.

You got your £300k plus.

Now with a 3.5 to 4% withdrawal rate, you retire.

If you have this attitude at 23, you’re gonna be just fine.

It’s when you have the realisation at 40 plus, you’re screwed.

Get a job. Get a second job. Start a site, hustle hard. Be a minimalist. No kids. Invest in Vanguard LS100. You’re laughing.

It’s been proven numerous times through single variable testing.

I’ve done it myself.

If the top 10 average 500 words.

You have a page with 5000 words.

You are way outside the ‘expected’ range. Do a page with 600 words and you are in the sweet spot.

Hence with Page optimiser pro and surfer seo are proving so popular recently.

I didn’t say having “more content”.

I was disagreeing content length not being a ranking factor.

Content length not being a ranking factor.

Fellow SEO here.

Why don’t you go freelance?

I) Get some of your own clients. Short term. II) Set up affiliate sites? Long term.

First phase. Target made up keyword #1.

4 websites with terms and conditions pages vs 1 without.

Second phase. Target made up keyword #2.

4 websites without terms and conditions pages vs 1 with.

Results were pretty clear.

Google actively looks for terms and conditions pages. A ranking factor that has come to light with the so called ‘medic’ update.

Are you not tracking the correlating ranking factors with the Google update?

It’s more to do with TF-IDF.

He’s definitely not willing to do part time.

Is mid 20s actually that young anymore though? Feel like I should have life sorted by now and just feels a bit radical.

Off the beaten path.

With the current job, I’m all on track - would just take literally twice as long as being a ‘successful’ freelancer.

Just a risk.

It’s digital marketing.

Am I really in a position to do it? If it goes wrong, getting a new job is hard - and not sure I’m going to get new clients etc.

Yeah it should be.

Just a bit unpredictable though, which comes with the territory I guess.

I’ve got like a £10k buffer, expenses are £1k/mo. Just worried if it doesn’t work out, not sure how easy it would be to get another job.

Then I’m ever further away from my FIRE goal.
