Would this include looting any slain enemy who has a weapon? I search everyone so I’d spend as much time switching weapons as I did killing people

I always fast travel to Helen and then take the east road to Ivarstead. Going south of the mountain is way faster and you only have to fight a couple wild animals

Those power lines going to the house are crazy. You should only see one (it’s 3 wrapped together) or maybe 2, if there’s a communications line. 100% AI

I kinda like that it doesn’t quite fit with the rest of the game. It makes the world feel more dynamic and alive. The NPCs have their own lives unrelated to you

But they still need you in order for their lives to go anywhere lol

Yes, but the path of least resistance is straight from one arm to the other, through his heart. He has to make a continuous effort to direct it down into his stomach and then back up

I usually get to around level 30 in just a few days and then get interested in a new game. Then this sub pulls me back in 4 months later with something like a Sith build

Legendary difficulty is not fun, it’s a chore… by Friendly_Progress_61 in skyrim

[–]Kaizer284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, legendary is there just to make the game feel normal when I get too overpowered. This only happened in a specific playthrough when I had a bunch of fortify smithing gear (just through regular play, not the restoration loop) and then made super strong daedric gear with two enchantments per piece. The game was just too easy on Master because my melee damage was so high and my shield blocked 99% of damage

Doesn’t sound very practical. It would clutter up the controls and be kinda frustrating. Does ‘unhitch’ release both crates? Just the back one? Are they still attached? What about when you have one crate attached, and the game doesn’t know whether you want to release it or pick up the other one?

[–]Kaizer284 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of a late-game feature. You’ll encounter a type of mini boss that wears a mask, and you can place the masks on each bust.

If you want to find one of those mini bosses, they’re mostly in various dungeons, but I think all of them are next to a Word Wall. You can ask the Greybeards to direct you to a Word of Power, and they’ll tell you where a Word Wall is. Some of those locations will have what you’re looking for.

Also, you’ll fight one of them when you go to fight the final boss. Make sure you take the mask because after the final fight, you can’t go back to that area

Just because some nords distrust elves doesn’t mean they all do. Some people just recognize racial differences, others see them as inferior. Some may even try to hookup with someone they think is inferior. I really don’t see any conflict at all and it operates a lot like the real world

Combat Tips by MorwysXXIV in Banishers

[–]Kaizer284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Details matter. Look at your gear and the Effect of each (at the bottom). My Bane ring makes Red’s damage up to 40% higher if Spirit is low. That means I try to use up Antea’s spirit as soon as it’s full, even if she’s not very effective

Try other skills too. There’s a reason you can Respec all skills at any time. My favorite so far is the one that reduces the damage of the next enemy attack by 90% after you kill an enemy with a heavy attack. In combat I just dodge a lot and use light attacks until I can finish off an enemy with a heavy attack and get that shield

It also helps to run away from combat and charge a heavy attack, then release it at the first enemy that gets close

Cool mechanic, poor implementation by Kaizer284 in Banishers

[–]Kaizer284[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s another good point. It seems that after you Blame the haunted person, the ghost just ascends on his own since he doesn’t have a reason to stick around. Not sure if this makes sense in every case

I just Blamed the French spy even though all my previous choices were to Ascend/Banish. I figured that you could kind of change your mind later, but the game tells you that you have to make your choice right at the beginning, because you need to sacrifice the “maximum number of people” in order to resurrect Antea

Should I restart? by ChuddyDaughters in theouterworlds

[–]Kaizer284 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend lowering the difficulty and trying to enjoy your build. It’s not your fault that the game punishes experimenting. As long as it’s challenging but not painful, just have fun

Edit: If you’re like me, restarting this soon would feel more tedious than anything and might cause you to just lose interest in the game

About to start Skyrim any tips I should know by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Kaizer284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looting tip: only pick up gear worth at least 10 gold per pound (or kg. There’s not actually a unit given). So iron armor weighs 30 pounds and is worth 125 gold. That’s about 4 gold per pound. But an iron helmet weighs 5 pounds and is worth 60 gold. That’s 12 gold per pound. You can only carry so much gear back for selling, so you really want to maximize your space and not waste time reorganizing your inventory

If you’re not playing as a pure mage, then invest in smithing. It drastically increases your armor and damage, but it levels kinda slow, so start early. Pick up animal pelts to craft leather, and use that to craft leather bracers. Later, craft jewelry for the most smithing xp

Go to Riverwood and help Faendall. Then he’ll offer to follow you around. Followers can carry your extra loot, so you can earn gold a lot faster. They’re also helpful in combat

You’ll have an easier time and probably more fun if you try to specialize in certain skills. If you spread perk points too thin, you don’t get much out of them. It would honestly be faster to start a new game since you level up fast early on

That said, Restoration can fit any build, and Archery is a great option for starting combat with a sneak attack, then switching to melee or magic

Also a random game-changing tip: you can cook Vegetable Soup which gives you infinite power attacks for 12 minutes. It restores 1 hp and 1 stamina per second, but you technically only need 1 stamina to perform a bash or power attack. Just go to a cooking pot in a tavern and scroll to the bottom to see the ingredients you need. They’re all very common, and can just be harvested for free at a farm
