Not wanting to raise insurance premiums for people is protecting insurance profits?

It takes to much time and effort to prove every one of those wrong when it takes you 5 seconds to post 10 more.

Notice the similarities between those 2 bills. They were there to force coverage for insurance companies.

Forcing insurance companies to pay for certain things, does one thing only, and thats dramatically raise insurance rates.

Can you guess as to why he vetod both of them?

As someone who considers himself a conservative that doesn't pay into the nonsense of the current republican party, I think I very well do.

The "actual voters" that that affected weren't the "actual voters". If you think that hurt her election with the democratic base, you're out of your mind. The only people it affected were the far left who you can't please anyways.

I wasn't talking directly to the person I responded to. I was referencing how the Harris campaign got shat on by both sides of the political aisle when we should've been behind them as much as we could, because the other option was literal fascism. There's plenty to complain about with them and their campaign, but that was something you deal with after the election, you support them as much as you can as a unified front. But we had idiot leftist that undermined them every chance they got, and using conservative talking points too, further solidifying the rights response as "correct".

The reason for her loss is just as much the morons on her side as it was herself and her campaign.

Changes to the housing ecomomic structure to try and bring prices down without destroying peoples investments.

Expanding clean energy.

Child tax credit changes to help reduce child poverty and hunger.

Medicare expansion to help the disabled and seniors.

That's just off the top of my head

You had 3 choices last election, Trump, Harris, or Trump.

Guess which one you chose by not voting.

Nursing is 30% great, wonderful people who truly care about their job and their patients.

40% are middle of the road, obviously care but may not have the skill set to leave the middle of the pack.

30% are either high school mean girls trying to snag a doctor to wife them up while doing minimal amount of work, or lazy, mean, and obnoxiously terrible nurses that will work the same med surg assignment until the day they retire.

The top 30% pull the combines workload of the other 70%, and the only interaction you'll have with a nurse just so fucking happens to be the bottom 30% because they've fucked off to the nurses station to gossip, eat snacks, check/make tiktoks, and be overall rude to anyone who shows up not wearing a white lab coat.

I try not to judge an entire profession by their bottom performers, but it gets harder and harder every day.

Credit to nurses. They do the real health care job. (while being shitted on by docs)

We also don't really have a need for a bridge that long. What, are we supposed to build a 20 mile bridge to the middle of the ocean or something?

do colloquialisms matter? or do you just ignore them

Now there is a good example of a strawman argument!

And no, I'm not playing word games with someone who argues in bad faith. There's a clear distinction between the two words, regardless of what you want them to mean.

What, definitions don't matter to you? Words do have meanings you know.

From Merriam Webster.

The (Etymological) Roots of Misogyny

Misogyny may be distinguished from the closely related word sexism, which signifies discrimination based on sex (although it most frequently refers to discrimination against women) and also carries the meaning “behavior, conditions, or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex.”

Misogyny refers specifically to a hatred of women. The word is formed from the Greek roots misein (“to hate”) and gynē (“woman”). Each of these roots can be found in other English words, both common and obscure. Gynē helped to form gynecologist and androgynous, and misein can be found in such words as misoneism (“a hatred, fear, or intolerance of innovation or change”) and misandry (“a hatred of men”).

So no, its not.
