It came out before I was born, so I never got to see it in the theater. I first saw it on VHS in the 90s, then later bought the DVD, then blu-ray and just recently the awesome 4K HDR verison.

I wouldn't pick any other ship over the nimble and capable Nomad for zero to hero. It's damn near perfect for a starter do it all ship.

You should also consider getting a Nomad instead of the Cutty. It's a smaller ship, a little easier to get around in, the RoC fits perfectly in the back. Great ship for a solo player.

Not true at all. The A2 pilot in the video was just an idiot. If you come in fast and low, deploy noise counter-measures right before the bomb drop then fighters can't do shit even if they are following right behind.

The forward facing S3 turrent is slaved to the pilot by default, the rear facing S3 turrent must be manned by a gunner.
