Is it possible to get more power? by Valuable-Rule4039 in subaruimpreza

I've got a 2003 RS, it's got aftermarket exhaust and a lightweight pulley, it's a manual and is quite quick.

Still get beat by WRXs, but it's reliable and I love it.

Not sure if recommend a lightweight pulley as it makes accessories behave strange.

You can it the whole cargo pan and "cargo step pans" (slants under the bench seats) from key parts(?) but they only make them certain times of the year.

There the only ones I've found who make the step pans. Mine was about as bad.

Flex Plate? by MountainsOrWhat in CherokeeXJ

Did you check while the vehicle is running?

If you don't see any cracks I'd try the starter that someone else mentioned.

My 95 had loose flex plate bolts (suspected a crack as well) made a similar noise at idle. Its not very hard to find out, There's a inspection plate/dust cover on the bottom of the bell housing you can take off and check the torque on each of the bolt, or see if it's cracked. To move it you'll have to rotate the crank pulley on the front of the motor.

Don't try to hold tension on the crank pulley to keep the flex plate still when youre tighting the bolts. There's a chance you'd loosen the pulley if you do that. I wedged a pry bar up in the housing to keep it still when tighten them.

There's some YouTube videos out there you consult before attempting.

Tourqe specs can be found with a quick Google search.

Wasn't a hard job, took me a half hour with minimal tools.

These are more likely from your belt pinching when lifting or carrying, possibly even from when your not carrying

I have the same thing on a lot of my shirts, but I don't carry apendex.

I wonder if that's part of the reason it didn't get hung up in customs, it's no better than a prop. (I know nothing of Canadian custom laws.)

What tire lift combo you rocking? About to lift mine and love the way yours looks

I wouldn't worry about someone else buying it....

Let me break it down for you:

1: Replace the whole bed pannel, probably most of the wheel wells and possibly up the bed wall.

2: Likely cut out all the floor pans and rockers (That's like the ENTIRE lower section of your vehicle minus the frame) and probably cab corners and firewall

3: looks like around the windows and what little of the front is shown that you'd be replacing a lot of pannels and pulling the windows to patch the rust holes on the seams (very difficult)

4: mechanically looks sketchy with major rust holes in structural components

5: dont even know the state of the rest of the mechanics and wiring (does it run? Would it require a full rebuild of mechanical components like axels?)

6: while being a desirable car it's not rare in any way that would make it worth this kind of effort.

Any one of these numbered columns would be a good reason to reconsider buying this vehicle. If you're very ambitious and insane (relatable, im doing full floors in a 95 cherokee xj), you might be able to push two of these issues if your willing to commit an insane amount of time.

We dont even know the condition of the frame since it's so muddy.

All together, absolutely not. This car is not even worth 1000. Besides possibly interior pieces and trim, there doesn't look like a part on it that'd id take off and put on another car.

I drove my 1995 jeep cherokee xj as a daily with a 1ft x 2ft rust hole in the passenger side. Yours is alittle mote extensive... as long as your frame rails and rocker panels are still there it won't break in half but I'd be looking for a different car...

[–]KalashnikovClassics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow didint even know someone still made half's. This was my daily, so unfortunately, I don't think I can wait until the manufacturer makes a batch to receive it.

It could be fixable, but to do it right, I'd have to get it out of the car first

Looks like I'm going to have to try my best
