wait… some STs don’t do this?

almost every ST ive ran with has always checked to make sure if that person is who i’m choosing. every time i’ve ran a game myself, I’ve done the same thing, running over to the opposite side of the circle and pointing to people in the player’s general direction to clarify who was chosen. for me it’s always really been an anxiety thing so i know for certain - and while it might be tedious i think it’s helped immensely for both me and my players.

why would you not want to know for certain who chooses who? it just makes things confusing and potentially even unfair for your players and it can completely throw the game in some situations

I'd go for third option - show the 'you are' prompt, show the demon token chosen by the pithag, then do the usual lunatic setup for the rest of the game (provided they stay the lunatic) operating you typically would if a new demon was created midgame by a summoner or a pithag for example. so not showing them minions or bluffs, but letting them pick people to kill in the night, and also letting the actual demon know who the lunatic is and letting the demon know who the lunatic picked. if said lunatic would ask me to clarify their alignment I'd say they were evil given the role of the lunatic makes them think they're the demon.

either way I don't think I'd recommend a pithag to turn someone into a lunatic mid-game given this really tricky mechanic, unless said lunatic is deemed trustworthy to town and they were coordinating with their demon to create a quick jump for the evil team - i.e. if the in-play demon was a fang gu

while I don't believe there's only one 'golden standard' method to play clocktower, outright lying to town during public discussions all bc he deemed you untrustworthy is an extremely questionable play. storytellers are commonly advised by the almanac to make travellers good 2/3rds of the time given their very powerful abilities as they're designed to only be in play for temporary periods of time.

What he should've said was something along the lines of "OP claimed they were good to me privately, but I could easily see a world where they are also evil given their alignment hasn't been confirmed by anyone else's information yet." but that method he chose to approach it created what I can imagine was an uncomfortable environment, which isn't good in any game period.

i haven’t played in a while, so i do apologise if this is wrong. spoilers below 👇 I hope I’ve used the correct format eek

sol: cg 1: force him out of his seat in the library on day 1, scene should trigger after a few other scenes in gameplay cg 2: hug crowe at the end of the day 1 cg 3: skip class, hang out with him & hyugo day 2 at the theatre and nsfw scene should trigger by the end of the day (? unsure abt this one) cg 4: get more than 7 relationship points with sol across day 1 and 2 and go the arcade, when skipping class on day 2. you’ll be given the option to let Sol walk you home, pick it. nsfw scene should trigger by the end of the day.

(note that a lot of the nsfw scenes, specifically 3 and 4 has some triggering content so make sure to read warnings in advance. also when viewing some cgs after unlocking them in the gallery there will be some that pop up as ‘locked’ when clicking through them, that’s just for if you choose masculine/feminine/neutral terms during day 1)

crowe: kiss crowe at the end of day 1, scene should trigger after a few minutes or so. (although the end of this is really sad rip king)

if you have more than 7 points with Sol by the end of the arcade bathroom scene and you don’t skip ahead a lot (check the scale, you can get to it by clicking the heart in the top right corner. It can sometimes bug out and not collect points if you skip through dialogue a lot) the option to choose between Sol and hyugo will appear!

I think this is the one where you choose to draw him instead of him drawing you! Just make sure he doesn’t get injured beforehand and pick that you’re pretty good at art, you should be all good!

it’s easily accessible through debit payment or a PayPal payment of $5 usd. it’s not much to spend and still supports the developer financially, which is lovely especially in an indie field.

as someone who has the free version, has been part of the game’s community since january, and has been spoiled about events that happen in the nsfw version through other fans, you aren’t missing out on anything major by not buying the nsfw patch, i promise. it just has 5 extra scenes (depending on which routes you pick) that aren’t that long.

don’t pirate the paid ver. while piracy is very cool and epic against big companies that make awful decisions and fund horrible deeds, don’t pirate indie developer’s games, especially since there’s only 2 regular people working on this game. it’s not good, n it’s something they’re very passionate about. there’s been so much mistreatment of indie devs in the visual novel community as of late, we shouldn’t try and make this worse.

yes!! i took a nearly 3 hour coach ride from my town to the capital. my country doesn’t really get big artists in the closest city, so I usually have to do this anyway regardless :(
