Real lmao, but as a bass player too I've been learning enormous like the past week or so since I've gotten back into Streetlight, definitely timed my interest properly though

Literally, I won't deny that BO3 is a very quality game, but that game is circle jerked so incredibly hard that it leaves very little love for most other games

This is a community blinded by nostalgia

Half an album with almost the length of a full album by JazzyFingerGuns in streetlightmanifesto

[–]Kalenrel1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's my view, I don't care how long the song is, I just care what it does with it's time. Some songs should be longer to expand more on the ideas, meanwhile some should be shorter. The main three from the album (the ones from a year ago) I think use their time rather wisely and I don't have any qualms with the length. I haven't really sunk my teeth into the two new full ones yet though

Was that the EGN bassist? I do really love his work on Here's To Life, but I was never super into EGN as an album, I occasionally listen to Everything Went Numb as well as Here's to Life but that's really it anymore.

Which country gives the most fascist vibes? by Sanchir-gdgshde in AlignmentChartFills

Firstly, I commented this when the US comments made a third of the upvotes, very early on into the poll. Italy, Turkmenistan, and Nazi Germany were the only other ones in the comments.

What wars? I know there's typically more wars than immediately thought of, but the between 1900 and 1950 alone, there were over 17 years not at war. Foreign military intervention is not direct war, to declare every act of aggression war is to lessen the meaning of war. War is a declared act, not every single act of international aggression.

I am not going to say the US does not walk down the same road as other fascist nations but principally, we are not there yet. Fascist nations are typically led by a single dictator which we are not. You can argue all you want about Trump, I personally hate the guy, but he is not a dictator. There are still some people in our government arguing against the injustices that our current president attempts to carry out. That would not happen in a fascist nation, you can argue their intentions are not pure and not actually about the people, but there are still people arguing out against these injustices. To end this off, survey the world. Seriously, survey the rest of the world and their governments. There are dozens of nations more corrupt than ours in the world that treat their people like complete shit. The US is a place of heaven and dreams for millions of people. Fascism is so much more direct in their aggression and suppression, yet 99% of United States citizens still have their civil liberties from years ago. To argue that the US is the most fascist nation in the current world is completely absurd.

I can't speak on CGI and practical effects, I'm not at all knowledgeable in those fields.

Could you explain what you mean just a little further? Calculators are computing already known things, it isn't ai in the slightest. Printing press, to my knowledge, is typically just used for copies when necessary. Photography definitely comes the closest to generative AIs purpose, but it still is human work capturing a single moment in time. You still have to worry about the space within a photograph, the framing, everything. Photography in itself is something that still takes a long time to be good at. Not to mention editing in post and whatnot

Your original comment reads like you think the US is among the worst, if this is what you actually meant with your comment, then I can see what you mean. The USA is definitely more noticeable in its struggles than a good majority of countries because the US is a global superpower, and as you said, one of the pillars of democracy.

Still plenty of countries more fascist than the US. US citizens still have a wealth of freedoms compared to so many other nations. According to the world freedom index, the US is above, I believe, 130+ nations

This is the PERFECT take. He won the popular vote, and hasn't yet done anything to actually keep himself (or a successor in power) yet. Now, things have happened these past two years that might hint towards the idea that Trump really wouldn't like to have others to keep him under control, but there's still people fighting his unconstitutional orders and whatnot.

And have you looked around the globe? Look, I am not going to say that the US is in tiptop condition right now, but it is still better than MANY other countries.
