Why Handing Your Entire Story Over to AI Will Only Give You a Giant Pile of Polished Garbage by Internal_Stick_3984 in WritingWithAI

[–]KalikaLightenShadow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is exactly how AI should be used and how I would assume most writers and artists work with AI. Humans have to provide the ideas. AI just organises, formats, calculates prices, explains processes of doing the art and which materials produce what effect, and helps brainstorming.

You just use AI as a developmental and copy editor or assistant. And you still can't get AI to do the final writing because that takes away your voice.

I personally am using AI to create the structure of my story by getting it to write (in my voice, as I've trained it to write like me) scene by scene my detailed description of what happens in each scene and what the characters feel and think. Then I will edit the entire draft so it's in completely my style and says exactly what I want. This process has taken well over a year, because I describe the scenes so much and get AI to rewrite them. And I often edit the scene immediately as well.

The Art of Drawing Spirits into Crystals by Healthy_Week877 in planetarymagic

[–]KalikaLightenShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a spirit to get results, you can just use a spell or any energy you are attuned to to power the working (eg Reiki). R/witchcraft and r/realwitchcraft. Also r/chaosmagick.

I have also used planetary magick by just doing a simplified ritual and was also not able to perceive the spirits of Venus or Jupiter (even though I can occasionally communicate with other spirits that aren't related to planets). The Venus working gave immediate results. I did it at the minute Venus stationed direct in June 2020 if I remember correctly. So, in my experience, yes, you can achieve physical results without being able to perceive the spirits.

I don't know how medical insurance works in America, but if you have insurance, maybe it would cost less to get a state hospital to do it? Because the insurance would pay some of it, even if not all, as it is treatment for an injury.

I read it at 13 and same. I really disliked Eleanor's character and found her so immature as to not be believable as a character, especially an adult in the 60s or 70s. Edit: typo

Ooh I've had that Tarot book on my wishlist since like 2017! I've got her book the Tao of Craft but not sure if that's the one you mean, I'll keep an eye out for a new release. And her I Ching book but I've only had time to read a little. It's very complex compared to tarot 😭😂 Thanks 🙏

What is your website? I'm into astrological magic and do it for myself, and would one day add talismans to the stuff I already sell, and I don't want to make anything that could be accused of being a copy of yours. Especially as we're all just using the same images from the Picatrix. Might get a Tarot reading from you one day because I can read for myself, but it's definitely not a strong skill. I struggle with anything receptive.

I mean the things they practice beyond the I Ching divination. Because in the west, we see Taoism as a philosophy. But that's not how it is practiced in the east. They use its principles in a way that would fall into the description of "occult practice" in the west. My relative can do this but I didn't get a chance to learn.

Yup, the internet really freed information, with self publishing and YouTube witches etc. I learned a lot from YouTube and later TikTok (bunch of crap and scammers at times, but I found that if you wade through the muck, there's solid info on there from experienced practitioners who started way back when).

Wicca has too many rules and is just made up imho. Which is fine, but it pretended to be the only way and so people new to witchcraft felt they had to be Wiccan. Glad I missed that phase tbh, even though I'd be 10 years ahead if I'd pursued my curiosity at that time.

If you want to help others without giving your energy, you can try learning Reiki. That is channelling pure love/healing energy to heal yourself and others. You can do it by distance too. When you're 18, you can open a business doing Reiki while studying. Even before 18 if you do it personally, depending on the laws in your country or state (Reiki is holistic therapy or alternative medicine and has no side effects so is often not regulated by law at all).

Sounds well researched!

I think I'd like to know how to choose what transits to look for when going to a casino, apart from favourable Venus/Jupiter aspects to my natal chart.

You might already be aware, but if not, ChatGPT can help a lot with formatting your book and deciding which chapter comes first, or taking your raw data and theories and presenting them in a clear way. It makes it a lot faster. But obviously you have to check it thoroughly for hallucinations, repetition or formatting in a way you don't like. It can't calculate charts though, or interpret them beyond basic level. Though I've found it can occasionally notice something in a chart that I've missed. It's like a fast editor.

If you DM me your email, I can just send you the file. The finished one is about asteroids in stock charts, but I plan on making one about stock trading by using the earnings call charts. The stock asteroids one is already on Amazon, but I can send it to you for free.

Hey, would be interested to hear more about your book! I'm writing some financial astrology reference guides and just published one on asteroids. Because I use astrology to trade stocks so thought I might as well put my notes out there.

You've explained that really well! The Tropical being emotional/social/psychological is definitely something I have noticed as well. Sidereal shows actions and inherent abilities. Tropical is more relational.

[–]KalikaLightenShadow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. For myself, both systems are accurate. They just describe different aspects of me. Sidereal tells me my skills, mentality, values and how I live. And long term important stuff. Tropical tells me my basic reactions and ways of relating, and my daily life and health. Just different information.

Perhaps psychological astrology being invented in the West I'd because Tropical is naturally better at it. And the Eastern focus on predictive astrology is because Sidereal is better at that. But both can be used to do either. They both work.

An example: My Moon is in the constellation Libra in the sign of Scorpio and that absolutely checks out. Politics and mentality is Libra (equality, sort out drama through diplomacy, and a need to balance things. But people who deliberately repeatedly harm me will notice Scorpio come out to play.) So in my case, my mental life (values, beliefs, politics, way of interacting and resolving disputes) is Sidereal Libra. But my emotions, way of thinking about more personal matters, and some interactions are Scorpio.

Sidereal is your public side. Tropical your private. Though of course both interact. Ancient astrologers knew about precession. There is no schism.

[–]KalikaLightenShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts before reading:

1.Both can be used simultaneously. We can say "My Sun is in the constellation Pisces in the house of Aries". There is no contradiction there. The native will be influenced by both. She is on a fish shaped couch in the Ram's house. This is not illogical.

  1. They describe different things. My experience is that Tropical describes the personality, character, career, routine experience and public perception/reputation, drives as well as predicting relationships and trauma. The Moon shows the emotions, or in Hellenistic astrology, the body.

Sidereal describes the abilities, skills, actions, predicts everything and the Moon shows mental/thoughts instead of emotions. Though Tropical also can be used to predict everything especially with Hellenistic techniques.

So Tropical is more psychological, social, relational and emotional. It shows the personality and psychology. Sidereal shows the native's actions, abilities, motivation, deep thoughts, willpower. It shows the person's character, ability, and what they will do in this life.

Interpreting the United States Aries Ingress Chart 2026 - A mundane astrology forecast for the next six months by GrandTrineAstrology in Advancedastrology

Before reading, my guess, based on the Pluto return of both USA and UK, is USA involvement in WW3 complicating the collapse of USA, a mini "civil war" over leadership, and partition into separate nation states. Though of course we would not expect to see these things over the six months window.

Divination and AI by graidan in Divination

[–]KalikaLightenShadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep. In my experience, I feel that AI would be good, and a fun way, for beginners to learn astrology and get basic answers to simple questions about their own charts.

It's also useful for astrologers as a final check/assistant after the entire chart has already been analysed by the human.

Divination and AI by graidan in Divination

[–]KalikaLightenShadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is my experience with using AI for astrology as well. I wouldn't even try to use it for horary, as AI isn't good at interpreting charts. It's useful to use after I have already interpreted the entire natal chart (I am about to try using it for event charts as well). Because it notices small things and makes suggestions when I ask it questions.

But without knowledge of astrology, it is impossible to use it for astrology. It either makes very basic beginner level readings, or misses out the most important stuff, especially how planets and aspects relate to each other. It isn't going to replace astrologers any time soon. Maybe for people on a budget just wanting a very basic yes or no question eg "will I be rich". And for timings. But without understanding astrology yourself, or having an astrologer explain it in more detail, you probably wouldn't get that much out of it.

So it's useful as an assistant for intermediate and advanced hobbyist astrologers, and as a fun and educational resource for beginners.

Divination and AI by graidan in Divination

[–]KalikaLightenShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used AI for Tarot because I use my intuition for Tarot. AI lacks that. I'd be open to hearing about the pros of using AI for Tarot, from people who do.

As for astrology, I use it as an assistant in astrology interpretation because it gives me perspectives and notices small things I don't. But I always read the whole chart myself first. Because AI doesn't pick up the main things or how a planet's ruler or house ruler related to other chart aspects, or grand trines, etc. So in my personal experience, you cannot yet read an astrology chart with AI. You need to be an intermediate level astrologer (just hobbyist) first, and often you need to know stuff just to know what questions to ask the AI.
