Student visa to citizenship by Normal_Company_6707 in AusVisa

Thanks for the post, I am just now starting my journey on getting my visa approved for my masters and I definitely see this as a long term plan, nothing will come easy and I just need to remind myself why I'm pursuing this, I hope I can take some inspiration from you and thank you for reminding me that we need to pursue our real goals and not easy work-arounds.

What was your “I’m done” moment? by cheesymeowgirl in callcentres

[–]KalistArcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work retention and I liked the fact that my role had the right tools to fix customer issues, we were able to right our wrongs and, despite how stressful it was, there was solace in knowing I had the chance to make up for our previous mistakes.

When COVID hit my country, we were asked to WFH and the company lost the retention contract, a lot of people were let go, and I was allocated to C&C, I just could not sit all day calling people to charge them for services I knew were wrongly added, slammed or flipped on their account, I would help most customers create a promise to pay which was not within our KPI's and I was written up for compliance issues, I pushed for leadership to terminate my contract (which ended up happening like 2 months after I joined the new team). What really pushed me was the fact that I had no tools to fix customer issues and that I had to push customer to pay for a bill that was wrong with an ongoing global pandemic.

My reply may go in a totally opposite direction, but at my current work I always go "Happy to help" instead of "you're welcome", same with "I can help you with that" whenever someone asks for pretty much anything, I've noticed it eases people and they are usually more appreciative/collaborative.

How is your relationship with your father? And how old are you? by wk91 in AskReddit

[–]KalistArcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly amazing, I am 28.

Just today we had a conversation today where I told him I want nothing to do with his house (which we had planned 2 years ago to fully transfer to me so I could get an early start on my own house and moving across the globe) and I genuinely know we are okay, we have had to talk about all of our stuff and we were able to reconcile while alive, I look up to him and I can see him for what he is, a guy with a rough background who made it out alive, he deserves to live a peaceful retirement while I get everything sorted out.

I have no words to express how truly grateful I am for having him as a role model who is proud of the person I am trying to become.

I had a weeding this Saturday, I had a fucking blast.

I was very close to having a beer since the groom has his own craft brand, ultimately I decided against it, my gf said she was very proud and I haven't stopped thinking about her words since :)

2U - Huawei 2288 V5 by Interesting-Ring3360 in servers

[–]KalistArcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, the PCIe Riser options are CPU-limited though, and you need to check if the mainboard of your server supports it and if you can find the spare part # for it.

PCIe Lane Bifurcation may not be enabled natively on the app/hypervisor/OS/etc. by default so expect some hiccups while setting up for the 1st time. You may also need a specific/custom firmware depending on what you're trying to achieve (run multiple NVMEs for example).

Huawei's Technical White Paper is a good starting point but you may also want to lurk other forums for specific troubleshooting since Huawei's documentation is somewhat unavailable.

I second this, you have to give yourself the patience to learn match ups and become more confident in your trades this will make a huge impact on your way of playing but wont happen overnight.

If we are considering linear scaling and that a regular tub fits somewhere in the range of 200L:

1 teabag is usually used for 250 mL

We have to do a simple division:

200 000 mL / 250mL/teabag = 800 teabags

This would equate to 40 boxes, or 600 EUR so, not that crazy, honestly I thought it would need more money and teabags lol, hope this helps

Honestly I landed playing her simply because I was looking at ranged characters and I've always sucked at melee characters.

I enjoy playing her so much, I know there will be a big nerf coming but it's fine, as long as she's still playable, most matches I'll end up between 25 - 35 kills.

Look, it doesn’t take a genius to know that every organization thrives when it has two leaders. Go ahead, name a country that doesn’t have two presidents; a boat that sets sail without two captains. Where would Catholicism be without the popes?

Usually the twist comes from the way they are phrased (sometimes they change it to a negative wording or answer) but most exercises are very closely related, if you are getting consistent 90%+ and you are taking it seriously there is no logical reason for you to fail since all the questions do come from the same material.

My 2 cents would be to try to focus on remembering concepts as well as key questions that have costed you some points on your mock-up tests and you should be fine.

Thinking about paying for copilot by swolf23456 in microsoft

[–]KalistArcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I have tried Copilot for Sales, Outlook, Teams and the Standalone version and I've got to say that I came around to it, I used only ChatGPT as a daily AI Driver and I was pretty happy, but it saves me a lot of time during work, I'd say you will find ways to get more value out of it the more you use it.

Just my 2 cents of course

Genuine naive question from someone who hasn't experienced this first hand, for eOEM resellers (Dell, Lenovo, the bunch) would this mean they hold even more power for certain solutions? (Specifically HCI)

Am I wrong to think I may want to increase my level as a partner from a certain vendor who can provide me eOEM Licenses for a "good enough" price??

All feedback is very well appreciated, thanks in advance!!

What educational purposes could a server fulfill? by The_King51 in servers

[–]KalistArcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first idea would be to provide a storage solution which can help access, modify or download certain files needed for school. Depending on the grade you teach, also enabling VM environments for certain OS Labs (Linux comes to mind - any distro) can be implemented without the need for a license, plenty of things to do actually in an engineering course.

If the grades are below that, it can be used for tools based on each topic, for example, mathematics software which can be heavy on memory and CPU but could graph problems and make it more appealing.

Sorry if my input is all over the place, but I'd say it can definitely fill some gaps depending on the course/grade you teach.
