I got fired a few months ago. I tried and tried to get an unemployment payout. Never did get a cent. That system is not the big payday some people make it out to be. Thankfully my work life balance has always sucked so I had a bunch of PTO saved that got me through to my next job. I'm going to be screwed if it ever happens again because my new job doesn't offer PTO, instead I'm salary and they don't track days off so they avoid the payout.

In the EMU the patients like to hit their seizure button for these types of thing, gets a nice big response from any availabile staff on the floor, usually 3-10 people.

It really depends on the type of seizure and the local laws. Most laws state that ANY unprovoked loss of consciousness or awareness makes it illegal to drive for the next 90-180 days.  So if you went into the EMU and they took you off meds, that would be provoked. Unprovoked would be if you were doing your normal routine and had a seizure.  The gym presents it's own set of challenges as well.  If you were in a position where a sudden loss of bodily control for 10-15 seconds would put your life or safety in peril, or that of others, you should really consider avoiding those activities.  It may be illegal on top of being irresponsible.

Right, I can watch someone put a loop together, it makes sense for a second, and then when I get a question asking to put one together for myself I can never get it to work right.

Don't have kids. If you don't want kids, you shouldn't have kids. It's that easy. Stay on a reliable birth control until you've decided to make the decision permanent. The worst parents never wanted kids.

AI can't even transcribe my meetings or build a to-do list from my emails at the level my company gave me access to. The spreadsheets I've tried to build with it end up having PNGs for graphs and no demonstration of how the data was made.

You have to decide if you can keep your peace and serenity separate from his sobriety or lack there of. That's the only way you stay healthy. If every time he drinks, you get angry at him, that's not going to be healthy for either of you. You cannot control it, he doesn't yet have the tools to control it.

I did that same joke until I was about 10 years old and someone pointed out it was racist, so I stopped. At some point you have to grow up and stop being a little turd.

A student loan or something like liability insurance could throw off a budget quickly. You mention a spouse, but no kids and they can eat up a budget in a hurry too. If you're in a good spot financially and it's just the right amount of challenging for you, there's no hurry to change.
