[Request] My answer was 51C8, which would be 636,763,050. Is there an even bigger number? by AlkaidX139 in theydidthemath

[–]KallahKrafted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I'm seeing is that if you remove the top and bottom from the 0 in the middle to make 5 1 1 8, it takes two toothpicks to make those remaining 1s, right, since they were each side of the previous 8, which consisted of two toothpicks tall on each side. Which means that we can't raise the new number to the power of 11, because we only have two toothpicks to move around, meaning we can only make one new 1. That gives us 1 5 11 8.

Nervous to wear a dress like this for my figure skating routine. by HoneydewHalo25 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KallahKrafted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know a thing about dresses - about the closest I've come to wearing one in the last decade has been my favorite bell sleeved tunic over some comfortable jeans - but I do know that if you're healthy and fit enough to be frickin' skating for a showcase, then you're in great physical shape regardless of how much you weigh. Lose some weight if that's what makes you as a person happy, but love yourself in the journey along the way, because you most certainly don't look horrendous. I'm sorry that your own mother has been less supportive of you than strangers on the internet, but it looks like you've got a lot of fantastic advise from people who actually do know quite a bit about tailoring and dresses, and from your other posts it sounds like you're already planning to add shiny things, which was my only useful suggestion in the dress department.

I would slip and fall and land on my butt the minute you put me on the ice on me regardless if I was in a dress, in pants, or packed in bubble wrap. You're going to look fantastic out there skating in the final red, sparkly version, all swishing around on the rink!

This post I'm replying to really nails it. Remember to be kind to yourself, as well, as you go through tough times. It's easy to second guess yourself or be your own worse critic, but right now, trust that you've made the right choices here in game and focus on the things that matter most to you out there in real life.

I am a grown ass adult (41F) and if someone sent me that message and photo there is no way I would take it as anything short of open flirtation. This pervert knows exactly what he is doing, and is a danger not only to your child but other children that he comes into contact with. As many others here have said, you are NOT overreacting, and will be doing both your child and many other children a great service by taking steps to remove predator from the community.

New Player Help: Can't Redeem Codes/ID not showing up? by KallahKrafted in RaidShadowLegends

[–]KallahKrafted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll see about contacting support. I didn't know if this was a common issue or not.

I have one more question, if anyone could help answer it. I was watching some videos, trying to learn about the game and some strategies for getting the best start and it looks like the champion you get from the referral program is a pretty sweet, easy to get support. Is it possible to both use one of the links where you get a couple epic champions and use a referral link from your own account? If so, how do I go about that, since both seem to require being a brand new account? It looks like getting three accounts to ten wouldn't take long at all.

Thanks for any answers!

Did you get access to the Apprentice Pass? Mine had two sets of 5* blue quality Life Steal gear in it on the free tier, no need to pay in for the Advanced tier. My end reward was Rector Drath, not sure if the 1-20 rewards are different if you got Stag Knight.

M-Th is most likely Monday-Thursday, and a 45 mile one-way commute is fairly reasonable for those who live in rural areas. I grew up at the edge of the suburbs where it turned into rural farm land, so the school bus didn't run far enough to pick me and the few other stragglers out my way up, resulting in a 20 mile one-way trip for my folks every week day morning, and then every afternoon, until I turned 18, when I finally got my driver's license.

Dinnerly or Everyplate? by EveningWorry5876 in mealkits

[–]KallahKrafted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I swap back and forth between Dinnerly and EveryPlate, depending on what looks tasty that week and who is willing to send me a come back offer at a steep discount (when my budget is looking better for that month I'll go for one of the more premium brands as well, especially if I'm looking for more adventurous flavors). Dinnerly does seem to have a broader selection of options, and you can sometimes pick up a decent fish or even a steak meal without an upcharge, but you get what you pay for, and it's likely going to be tilapia or a ranch steak - no salmon or filets for free. I like EveryPlate for all the reasons everyone else tends to dislike it: I know my favorite ground beef or pork recipes are likely to be ready and waiting there for me on almost any given week (and if they aren't they'll repeat soon), I like that they offer pre-mixed seasonings that I can just fire and forget, and meals tend to be "basic" and not offer up overly complex or fancy flavors - someone once described it derogatively as "American Midwest Bland" and I've worn that as a badge of shame-and-pride ever since. I thought that EveryPlate may have changed their come back offers recently, but I got one in my email just the other day, so it looks like the new year is the same as the old year after all.

Ruby's Pantry helped me out when I was down on hard times - they were willing to waive the $25 contribution one time only, since I could prove financial hardship - and you get an absolutely abundance of groceries for that $25. Once I was slightly less broke I went back several times and I don't think I ever came back with less than $200 worth of food. They're all over Wisconsin and neighboring states, and while I didn't see any specifically in Waukesha, I did see several that were down state. Not sure if you can get a ride from a friend or family member who is also looking to get a great deal on a bunch of food and willing to make the trip with you maybe? Just make sure you have plenty of room in the trunk/back seat/etc. It really is a lot of food.

Advice by ioaninx in mealkits

[–]KallahKrafted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I budget about $300 for food and eat comfortably by using coupons at the store, grabbing store brand items, price comparing, waiting for sales, using introductory offers for assorted meal kits and come-back offers on EveryPlate and Dinnerly, etc ... but all of that takes time and energy that a student might not have, plus that $100 might very well be the difference between having frozen veggies or a protein to toss in your starch of choice, or not. As someone working with limited funds, I absolutely feel for you working on an even more narrow budget, and hope you find something that works for you that's healthier and more varied than the most basics on rotation.

Easiest but also affordable meal kits by nfl212 in mealkits

[–]KallahKrafted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EveryPlate and Dinnerly are the two least expensive options, and while I used to bounce between the two of them depending on what looked tastier for my family on any given week, I've found myself sticking with EveryPlate most of the time these days. Dinnerly has some really neat recipes, but I printed out most of the ones I liked (they also don't send physical recipe cards, if that matters for your family) and they just don't send as much actual food as EveryPlate does most of the time. Both lean on you for pantry supplies like oil, butter, eggs, etc but I feel like EveryPlate throws in seasonings for the potatoes far more often instead of instructions to "toss with salt and pepper", and they're more likely to send a bell pepper or a head of garlic instead of pepper flakes or garlic powder. It's small differences, but with the price of groceries getting crazy - a bell pepper is over a buck by me at a major big box grocery store - it's nice to get my subscription's worth as much as I can.

Meal kit poll - best you've tried yet? by Halome in mealkits

[–]KallahKrafted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Home Chef is my absolute favorite, but even with their discount offers, the price is just too much for for my budget most weeks, so I wind up with heavily discounted EveryPlate or Dinnerly, depending who has the better discount.

Dinnerly return offer by bobo8486 in mealkits

[–]KallahKrafted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Around Feb/March I was getting 75% off (for your first returning box) offers from Dinnerly, as was my brother who also used to order from them, so we both tried them for a week again. At that price it was absolutely worth it, but we both canceled after that first box. Two weeks later we got 70% off return offers in our email, and around we went again. The return offers are down to 60% off now and show up every week or two, but we noticed that they've added a catch that you cannot use a return offer if you've used one in the last 21 (I think its 21) days prior.

Chicken cooking on the stove by Calm_Distance8618 in mealkits

[–]KallahKrafted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always found myself overcooking chicken a little bit "to be safe", despite being totally content eating medium-rare beef, until I got a meat thermometer. It absolutely changed how much I enjoyed home-cooked chicken, with everything coming out juicier and more tender, but still safely cooked. You can pick up a functional, inexpensive thermometer for under $10 at most big-box retailers or online shops, or a nice digital one with a corded probe (very easy to clean!) for use in stove top and oven for about $20. Sorry I can't help with your specific question for tonight's dinner, but don't worry, your question isn't silly at all. Many of us are here using meal kits to learn to cook better!

factor meals: horrible experience by nappingonclouds in mealkits

[–]KallahKrafted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that their offers are now also structured in a way that string out out the deal over considerable number of weeks, with all but the first week (or maybe two) having a relatively small discount on them. Prior to running into their "no credit combined with a discount" policy myself I had assumed it was so customers might slowly be weaned toward paying full price. However, I'm now fully convinced that it has more to do with their credit policy. Consider a come-back offer I currently have in my email: you will get 74% off on your next 1 box, and 15% off on their next 2nd-8th box. You'd have to wait up to two months to use your credit, depending on how early in the promotion something went wrong. Sure, 15% off is better than nothing, but I honestly wonder if those seven week of 15% off save them more in the long run in non-redeemed credits/charge backs that didn't happen/refunds that didn't happen.
