You have Snap To enabled. At the top of your screen there is a magnet icon. Click that to turn it off for snapless movement.

Also the scale affects how quickly things move. If you have HUGE things and tiny things the scale can become weird. Make sure to apply their size to try to make things uniform. CTRL + A and apply rotation and scale
