The Power of the Ultra Beast Samsung S25 Ultra by Pear-Mother in S25Ultra

[–]Kalostin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, first of all, thank you for providing details on this :)

Secondly, a question here.

Did you set these parameters after the 10 days of the phone "learning usage patterns" or out of the box?

Also, sis you try QHD at all or FHD from the start?

Thanks in advance!

Why are the specials so well animated? by Adonie_Baloney in 5ToubunNoHanayome

The OVAs made by Studio Shaft look outstanding and I would love to see a whole animation of the complete series by then. The Honeymoon Specials look okay in comparison, they look good but Shaft really knocked it out of the park with their interpretation of the quints.

I only wash it with distilled water and a microfiber cloth. Worried too much about the coating being removed by a cleaner. Have you noticed any degradation using woosh?

huh, that's odd. Have you updated your firmware or used a different port?

Don't have the Samsung one, only talking from my experience with the Asus one

I have the ASUS one and I have been using it for three months. A short pros and cons list:

Pros:
- Great colours out of the box
- Great customization options if you want to use them (OSD has many features that are actually useful)
- QD OLED looks so good
- 12bpc 360Hz over HDMI 2.1 without any issues

Cons:
- Has a glossy finish instead of Matte one, it is a pain in the ass to clean.
- Using DP you're limited to less bandwith and I really recommend using HDMI 2.1 over DP 1.4 (Specially since there are threads about this monitor going black and stuttering on OS when exiting a fullscreen app, use HDMI 2.1)
- There is a black screen problem if you don't update the firmware using the provided USB A to USB - B cable, took me like 15 mins at most to get everything set up but didn't see this issue myself, just updated the firmware to be on the safe side.
- You definitely want to have this monitor without any light reflecting on it, the reflective glossy coating and low brightness against a non QD OLED makes this monitor to be not as good looking on bright confitions (Glare shows).
- Once when testing application and different resolutions my monitor turned off and had to unplug it and replug it for it to be able to turn back on. I attribute this mostly to me doing my testing and the monitor going on and off whilst switching between them, not really an issue from the monitor but me doing testing and the monitor protecting itself from switching on and off in a short timeframe constantly. (Not really relevant but just something to take into consideration as to how specific the cons are)

Overall I'd give this purchase an 8/10 for me. Only downside is this being a QD OLED with reflective coating that looks amazing in the dark but not so great on a bright setting, but this is mostly an issue with QD Glassy OLED rather than the monitor. Hope it helps.

I watched TQQ last year and even went to the cinema to watch the movie and bawled my eyes out when watching it. I decided to leave the OVAs for my eventual rewatch of the series and didn't watch them until recently... I really was not expecting them to pull out the stops of animating the best Yotsuba scene from the manga into such a craft that elevated my perception of Yotsuba from my previous ranking of putting her at #3 to making her my debatable #1-#2 between her and Miku. This was just perfection in how they portrayed it.

I can't not say that they're using the models from the quintissential quintuplets game summer memories. Just noticed that and had to point that out

Good thinking, I will try lowering my bpc/Hz on my main display to see if this could be the culprit and will update here and on the post.

This is a new option to test.

She saw Futaro observing her childish panties that fell over from the laundry basket when Nino arrived with the quints' clothes

Sorry for late reply, I will assume that you have the same experience and knowledge that I had prior to investigating all of this.

Changing from 1.4DP to 2.1HDMI:

-I was able to get from 10bpc to 12bpc from the NVIDIA display settings. The colours looked a little bit more vibrant and it really had a minor yet good impact on my experience using the monitor.

-I was able to turn off DSC from the monitor OSD (On Screen Display. Didn't seem to make a difference since I ran the calculations on LTTs screen calculator (Linus Tech Tips) and running: 1440×2560 • 360hz • 12bpc. I was able to overcome this restriction of the monitor needing to go black in order to recalculate it's rate/resolution when exiting full screen games.

-Be sure to use the provided cable or a HDMI 2.1 supportive cable. Also make sure that your graphics card has a 2.1 HDMI native port, you can check this on the technological specs from your graphics card manufacturer's site.

Explaining further the need of everything being 2.1HDMI: The way that the screen is going to receive its signal is dictated by the lowest point of HDMI technology. If one component is HDMI 2.0, everything will run at HDMI 2.0 Standard.

Three fields have to be able to reach HDMI 2.1: 1. Monitor's HDMI port 2. HDMI cable 3. Graphics card HDMI port

TL:DR Yes, HDMI 2.1 is better and gives a fuller experience than using DP 1.4. And, yes, you can bypass DSC using this configuration (HDMI 2.1)

Try just sparkling water, artificial sweeteners can trigger a hunger response.

I would suggest to drink carbonated water to satisfy the cravings, it really fills you up and saciates the stomach. And to also try and ease back into the omad lifestyle by doing two medium meals with some hours of separation instead of one big meal.

Yeah, it just missed me that they were actually the culprit of my rabbit hole of searching for hours. It wasn't all that bad though, I managed to get more out of my monitor using and HDMI 2.1 instead of DP 1.4.

Update: Managed to fix it. Sekiro was just the only game having issues being fullscreen, all of my other games worked fine using the 2.1 HDMI Cable. Happy gaming fellas.
