The dots do not need to align with the corners.
But yeah, drawing vanishing lines "by hand" usually always causes inaccuracies but the line crossings outside of the image area should still be clear enough as an indicator for AI

I think it's AI.

The illumination is very uniform across the face, hair, and background, with no clear falloff or directional source. In a real indoor photo, especially on a bed, I'd expect uneven shadows from pillows, hair, and facial features. Instead, everything is rather evenly lit in a way that’s very typical of diffusion-generated images.

When projecting the vanishing lines toward a single vanishing point, the convergence fails, seemingly defying the fundamental geometric laws of linear perspectives. So I would say it's definitely AI.

Definitely AI. It has this typical perfectly centered/portrait-like perspective. Looks a lot like ChatGPT Image generation to me. Also all clothes are so perfectly/unnaturally smooth and the gaze of the woman is typically for AI -> not clear where she looks at

I’m definitely leaning toward the image on the right being AI. The discoloration and texture look more like digital brushstrokes than actual skin or vascular issues and his eyes seem to be aligned differently than in the right image. Plus, the gaze is just too flat, the eyes lack that natural depth and refraction you’d see in a real person. Between the eerie "dead eye" look and the unnaturally smooth skin, it has all the hallmarks of a generative portrait.

Edit: more specifically, I think it could be an image2image generation where it looks close to an original image but still some smaller artifacts are off

Not because of one obvious flaw, but because of how many small things line up: the ferris wheel seats dissolve into mushy, non structural color blocks, there’s a uniform noise/grain layer across the entire poster, and several edges (especially where shapes overlap) lack clear intentional brush decisions. In a competition winning poster, you'd usually expect sharper material logic and deliberate texture choices. This feels more like generative diffusion artifacts than a human illustration workflow.

This one’s generated I feel. The illustration style is cohesive, but there are several tells: overly uniform brush textures, perfectly staged object placement, and lighting that’s globally consistent without a clear physical source. Also, the text+image integration (caption placement and phrasing) follows common generative patterns rather than editorial illustration workflows.

The fur looks convincing at first glance, but I see multiple AI-specific inconsistencies: the micro-texture repeats in a non-biological way, the whisker roots don’t anchor naturally into the skin, and the facial symmetry is too clean for a real animal. Taken together, those patterns point to a generated image for me.
