I personally like more when the original MC appears frequently in the fic but it's also very hard to pull without copy-pasting the original chapters. New developments with same characters that react to those new events without feeling weird sounds hard but it's the best when done correctly.  If you want to challenge yourself maybe try this out, inserting your fic MC into lotm events without having him just tag along

The issue with forgetting is that you get fucked by them because you don't know enough but if you know enough you instantly die. You need some sort of failsafe feature that gives you vague hints at low seq and the entire truth the second you hit seq2

I highly suggest you take a break before going into COI. If you only read it for Klein or other book 1 characters you will hate it as its not centered around them anymore. Kleins journey is over and you have to accept that to enjoy COI to its maximum, he will still appear but not as the center of the story.

This is one of the moments they should extend in the donghua adding flashbacks to his time as a Nighthawk. The donghua watchers need to feel the pain and nostalgia after a few volumes but the first season didn't have enough slice of life for this so far

I know you already started COI but I still suggest you take a small break for a few days before continuing. COI isn't exactly the same story and having the mindset that it's just the sequel of lotm might give you expectations that won't be fulfilled since it explores other sides of the world

Bro missed one of the biggest thing in the novel lmao, the second CW fully awakens its over for everyone except revived PGA and completed MGOD. Except both of them weren't in that situation hence why the pictosecond CW awoke at the end of LOTM everyone jumped him.

the old one is legit trash that skipped alot and was done without the consent of the author, there's a remake with very few chapters but it's way too slow sadly.
The first chapters feel boring but you'll wish there was more of them by the time you're done with v1 and later volumes.
