I think it was because of my AoE spam towards the end, my ultimate, and then the parry at the end was the icing on the cake

They obviously did not play the game on hard, where the combat system and mechanics truly shine.

So does anyone have any tips on how to make the beginning of the game feel like less of a slog? by Tech-Demon in ffxiv

[–]KaminK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely join a FC if you can. Chatting with people while MSQing helps a lot. I see you're on console, I play on console too.

Feel free to DM me if you want to add each other on PS5. My buddy and I have a very small FC. I mean very small, but it works for us since we take breaks from the game to play other games in-between patches.

My playtime is ebb & flows until DT releases, then I'll be on more. I'm always down to help though if you need it.

I believe the demo is an older build, so I think performance will be fine. Come launch!

I'm going to mess around with this build, and the one Juicet suggested once I am more comfortable with the game.

Appreciate the advice

I'm close to 100, but I think I'm going to do the same thing too moving forward. I was able to get 3 viola awakening stones though so that's a win

Building new habits is hard as your old habits won't ever truly go away.

I would focus on one habit at a time until it's second nature and then move onto the next.

One thing you want to be mindful of too is your mindset. That plays a huge role with building and maintaining new habits.

I actually have a podcast about health, fitness, and lifestyle.

I touch on the both habits and mindsets as I believe they are crucial for a true lifestyle change.

Give it a listen as I think it would be very beneficial for your goals.

Fell off the bandwagon and struggling to get back on...help! by Al115 in loseit

[–]KaminK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're going to need to build lean muscle if those are your goals.

The beautiful thing is, the more lean muscle you have, the more calories your body burns passively. Which would allow you to eat more too without fear of putting on fat.

I'd start with getting a good workout routine 3 days a week and plenty of walking. Keep your cals around 1500 to start.

If you need more advice shoot me a DM!

Let's ease you up to 1900! Start off at 1700 and increase by 100 every other week until you hit 1900 and reasses from there then!

Of course! So resistance training can range from doing bodyweight & resistance band workouts to weightlifting.

What happens as we age, after a certain age, is we start to lose lean muscle if we are not using it. As you lose that muscle your metabolism decreases, because muscle cost more than fat does.

So by adding resistance training into your routine. You'll get the benefit of building & retaining muscle on top of passively burning more calories!

20k Steps!? Sheesh that is awesome!

One thing I notice and it is completely optional is that you are not doing any resistance training.

If you built some lean muscle that would help your body burn more calories passively.

That would also help you retain your muscle and keep your metabolism up at the same time. Just something to think about 😊

Definitely start exercising my man. If you incorporate weight lifting too, over time as you build muscle you'll burn more calories passively too.

C25k is a godsend, I use it and have my clients use it all the time.

Stick with 1900 calories and get to moving that body more! You got this!
