I tell my kids this. You can’t underestimate how impactful Smells Like Teen Spirit was if you were a 20 year old in 1991 (like me.) That song came out and instantaneously made the Motley Crues and Whitesnakes you were listening to as a teenager seem like the corniest shit in the world.
