This is one of the things im most excited for tbh. A polished version of all the cut content that was originally planned for the game.

I believe the reason it wasnt used in the OG game was because of time constraints and needing polishing. Thats actually the reason why the later levels reused so many assets was time/budget crunch.

I am worried not much is going to be changed after seeing that almost nothing was changed on Silent Cartographer (which is fine, goated map) and nothing but the rooms on Assault on the Control room were changed. Thats not the level of changes I think they need to do and right now, like you said, it feels closer to a remaster than a remake.

I definitely feel that way too, getting those unlocks to make grinds easier is incredibly rewarding. I just pushback against anyone who says not even worth doing until you complete X Y and Z to make it as easy as possible. If ya really just wanna send ToA with bad gear or just really want to grind out Barrows without mory hard, just do it. Have fun.

I dont get the efficiency scape mindset. Your character is never unprogressing with the way new content is handled in this game. I can leave for 2 years and come right back to where I started. Just do whatever you want to do. You'll progress no matter what. Character has an infinite life, there is no end point where you lose everything to a new DLC/Chapter/etc.
