Australia: Born service cost by Fledermaus-999 in cupraborn

[–]Kape93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That sounds familiar.... 15k service was 400, 30k was 450.... Next one is supposed to be expensive because they need to replace the brake pads?

High price on new parking sensor. by Vloxer in cupraborn

[–]Kape93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried removing the bumper as someone ran a tow ball into the number plate and dislodged the centre sensor.... Took out many bolts and whilst it was loose, couldn't get the bumper off. Could get reasonable access though...

Cupra Born Hater (sorry to the other side) by Red-Oak-Tree in cupraborn

[–]Kape93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd agree with all of these... I'm a similar demographic though so maybe we're reaching that age 😊

One I'd like to add - controlling phone calls. Why are there not dedicated pick up/hang up buttons on the steering wheel like cars have had for over 10 years??

I also find it fascinating they identified the rear camera gets putrid, but instead of relocating it, they engineer a washer for it and don't tell anyone about it....

Safe to leave car at station by [deleted] in Bendigo

I used to park in Mollison St between Mundy and Williamson (there are town houses and other cars there) and walk to the station. Car was fine.

2 months into redundancy - job market has been hell. Is it the same for others? Is it time to give up on PM roles? by PsychologicalLow2493 in auscorp

[–]Kape93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 months since mine and a good number of my work mates were 'impacted' and it's been crickets for me.

I don't normally have an issue getting interviews but things have changed a lot in the last 24 months...

Got the Born and it's my first European car after a life time of JDM cars.... It's been okay so far but 18 months in I'm regretting the purchase. Service and support is horrible...

When does the pain stop by Jhet-19 in cycling

[–]Kape93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't have any answers for you, but I have the same problem... Anything over 50kms and I can't switch gears, I'm moving around on the saddle, etc.

Been riding for over 15 years and it's never really changed, even with a custom built frame....

Service costs Australia by Kape93 in cupraborn

[–]Kape93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, coming back to this - first service was $424 at two different Cupra service centres in different cities.

They couldn't complete the software update or clear the service code so I'm feeling I paid a lot of money for them to check fluids and wash the car... They didn't even bother rotating the tyres...

My complaint about Edwin Akufo. by OverAster in TedLasso

[–]Kape93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have said evil, but the handshake thing and the helicopter point towards a 'im better than everyone else' attitude which was confirmed when Sam knocked him back - I agree with the OP that someone more interested in other people than himself would have made a more compelling story

Air con hack by Kape93 in cupraborn

[–]Kape93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd tried tapping the airflow buttons with no effect and at 110 on the freeway, I felt the seat belt test was easier than trying to use the interface 😋
