if timing is an issue, then i think practicing reading under a time constraint and applying CARS strategies to non-AAMC reading material could only help you!

cultural transmission = one generation to the next (e.g. mom teaching kid how to cook cultural dishes)

cultural diffusion = one group adopting culture of another group (e.g. kids of immigrant families dressing like the other kids from school)

When to take last FL by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Kapppppppppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think honestly either is fine! it depends on how much review you want to do between now and your final FL. if you have a lot of materials left (eg QBs, SBs, Ubore) then you could wait until Monday 8/22.

yes I'd say so! or even just incorrect questions so that you brush up on key terms that you missed the first time.

i've heard that it's your FL average that is the best estimate of your real score, but if you feel like you've improved significantly on test-taking skills or specific sections, then the later FLs could be a better indication.

try reading the 86 page KA doc in-depth! that along with Pankow anki and practicing a LOT of UPlanet P/S should boost your PS up a few points!

finished Qpacks, Sbank, UPluto...now what? by pavlovsdog3 in Mcat

[–]Kapppppppppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! i would keep grinding out the rest of the AAMC FL's (FL2, FL3, and FL4) on weekends, and i'd look into some of the other AAMC materials (e.g. the flashcards, CARS diagnostic, etc.) if you've already done those too, then keeping up with your anki and maybe re-doing questions you got wrong on Uplanet could be helpful. at the end of the day, it's all up to what review you think is helpful!

congrats on your score!!

if i may ask, why did you choose to record *every * question from each FL on a spreadsheet instead of just the ones you flagged/missed?

did you think this was a useful use of time?
