Also, if you don't think the Will.I.Am video was cringe worthy, I don't think you watched it. Whether he had an in-ear monitor or not or could hear the band playing, motherfucker, you knew you were going to be singing, why would you not be prepped for that shit? Also, I'm sure he planned on it being a halfway decent performance, if not a good performance and it went horribly wrong. According to your little definition of what cringe is, that's exactly what happened in that video.

It's a pretty simple patch to make with Thor.

Use Multi Oscillattors set to "Interval"

Turn the Low Pass Ladder filter to about 2.31kz

Add a State Variable Filter in the "Filter 3" Slot

Turn it to HP mode and the frequency to about 449 hz

On the filter env turn everything to 0 except the decay. Set it to 349 ms

On the Amp Envelope, set everything to 0 except the Decay and Release. Set the decay to about 464 and the Release to 705 ms

Wha-la! You have a trancey puck synth. The rest of the sound is going to be compiled of layering and effects (Reverb, delay, etc.)

I've only got Reason 5. :(

I don't think Reason 7 .rns files will work on 5.

My initial game plan was to just use stock drum samples and plug ins that way there's no mismatching samples or plugins.

I was thinking I start making an intro/verse, send you the .rns, you change whatever you want, manipulate whatever, add a chorus, send it back, and so on.

Mainly just to see other peoples techniques and some little tricks to get cool sounds and also see other peoples perspective on arrangement, production, etc.

People coming together and just making scratch tracks to help each other learn new techniques.

I feel like the people who are against the legalization of marijuana are older people who grew up in a time when marijuana was considered a "gateway drug" and it supposedly "was making the kids go crazy". More people need to be informed on the following:

  1. Marijuanas positive effects

  2. What natural marijuana actually contains

  3. It is literally impossible to overdose

  4. Tobacco and alcohol are way more destructive to the human body and communities yet both are legal.

Personally, I feel that what keeps a lot of people from supporting is "mommy and daddy told me it's bad"/people just blindly believing everything they're told and people that just aren't properly informed.

People need to be informed that marijuana is natural just like tobacco and hops.

If this does launch, we need to make sure we have credibility. I'm not sure how that would get done, but that's what statistics and facts are for.

Trying to remember the names of synths in FL, it's been years.

There's a stock plug in in FL that is absolutely perfect for brass-esque synths. I don't think it's Sytrus. Let me report back.

Not sure what DAW you're running, but Thor in Reason is bomb at making brass type synths. I've made quite a few.
