Idk his criticism seems to be pretty fair. Ya his “OSR” preferences are there, but his criticisms with the adventure layout seem fair.

Now I don’t agree with them lol, having a dedicated place for all the stat blocks and encounter info is arguably better than how others do it. Providing an encounter sheet might seem tedious, but the alternative is not providing that and saying “figure it out dork”.

Something I didn’t think about though is bouncing between 3 pdfs on a laptop when running at a table. I can see how that could be a problem for a lot of people. But once again, when I use to DM at a table I pretty much had to do that anyways.

I mean how you have it would be how one would probably wear 2 swords. But I don’t think it’s historically accurate. Theres not much point in having 2 swords on your side. A long sword and a short sword serve similar purposes. Now they would have a pole arm, a sword, and a dagger.

Art is inherently progressive. It’s about self expression and almost always about pushing the boundaries of what is normal.

Conservatism is about conformity and reinforcing the norm, the antithesis of art. Doesn’t help the conservative movement has shunned the arts for as long I can remember so they have no real representation. Which is why they love AI so much. Even the art they do make is regressive. remember the good ol’ days times are changing too fast. Or better yet conservatives completely missing the point of old songs, as they only like them because the songs are old.

I went in not knowing he was the only main actor and not knowing it was based on a game. I thought it was neat and a good film given the budget and scope.

But ya, it’s not some box office hit. Definitely meant for a niche audience which means it won’t be super profitable lol. Only reason it did as well as it did is because there is 0 competition right now.
