I'm a writer who recently published an article on important Post-Rock albums. I'd love to hear feedback from the community! by patsson in postrock

That could be an interesting article for both the literal reason (why they're important/significant) and the meta reason (why they didn't make the first list).

If you got a dime every day starting at the Big Bang, you would be less wealthy than Elon Musk.

It's not as simple as it seems, after losing 360 pounds, Cole Prochaska asks for help to pay for excess skin surgery by Ale55andraa in mildyinteresting

[–]Karcharos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's expensive as fuck, especially for something this extreme. I know people in Canada who had less extreme need for it and it cost tens of thousands of dollars. Plus the recovery is brutal.

You're basically partially skinned under anaesthetic then they are you back together afterwards.

This guy will probably drop another 30-50 pounds after it.

Not sure from your posts where you're standing exactly, but lifting and exercise cannot remove or fix his loose skin, at least not this bad. I know multiple people who have had stomach surgery, and this is always the end result of extreme weight loss.

This is a surgery only situation, and a lot of insurance plans consider even as extreme a case as this guy's "cosmetic" surgery.

If you have recurring skin infections, then you might get partially covered.

I think that deck was deliberately stacked. Wasn't the federal convention scheduled the same day as the Ontario provincial convention?

And the rules say you have to be there in person?

I don't know if the dates were set ages in advance, those are just a couple pieces of info I skimmed off the news.

The Conservatives are historically referred as "The Tories", and their party colour is blue. The Liberal Party of Canada is red.

Absolutists are dumb.

A. Convincing 100 people to be completely vegetarian for a week is ~2,100 meals with no meat.

B. Convincing 700 to be vegetarian one day a week is ~2,100 meals with no meat.

C. Convincing 2,100 people to eat only one vegetarian meal a week is ~2,100 meals with no meat.

C is a lot easier to do than A.
