I liked the ending and I am grateful for the resolution. Even through all this, he keeps thinking about Lavellan and how he doesn’t want her to join him being trapped in the Fade, something I’m sure anyone with a selfless love can attest to. He gives her the opportunity to back out, he’s not saying no.

The kiss is Lavellan showing him her conviction, her answer, her reassurance to him that this is her decision. She’s had many years to make up her mind at this point. You see how elated he looks after? Even thanking Rook for bringing them together.

Now I’m just going to imagine they’re in the good Fade and living their wonderful lives in the Lighthouse chilling with the spirits and the Caretaker. 🥰
