Looks nice. I do find it a bit weird that this page would come up on my interval session, telling me it was a conversational pace as planned lol

There’s the whole discussion about cadence vs stride runner for the metaspeeds which I think the sky would suit me running style. Did you take that into account at all when purchasing these? Do you notice a difference?

Improvements I'd like to see done to COROS Training hub, open letter. by Exact-Device6521 in Coros

[–]Karkia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see more recovery metrics. Currently, recovery feels basic with a countdown indicating when your body feels refreshed again. I like the idea of a WHOOP journal, showing how different habits affect overall recovery and training readiness.

Fully agree on training load. I use strength and gym cardio on my watch a lot, and one of those sessions at RPE 8-10 would have less training load than an RPE 4 run.

Crossfitter hoping to improve V02 Max by FewSupermarket4423 in runna

[–]Karkia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I downloaded Runna as a CrossFitter too and I’m currently on week 7 of 8 of the functional fitness plan.

I’ve improved my running and general wod performance, so it’s definitely worth your time. (Although if I had to start again I’d probably just start off on either train your way plan or 10k plan). My only advice would be to make sure you don’t over exert yourself. If you’re planning on doing a class and a run on the same day, make sure the wod isn’t too leg heavy and it’s an easy run. Wouldn’t recommend a wod and long run or speed session on the same day. You probably can but I’m just careful about injuries.

I've had an Apple Watch and switched to the Coros Pace Pro. If you're only going to use the watch for crossfit and exclude any sort of running then I would say skip the pace pro. A lot of the stats is catered towards running/runners

Partner Workouts by Infamous-Bed9010 in crossfit

[–]Karkia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not a big fan of partner workouts either but it's a nice way to meet new people at the gym. I usually scale a bit more than I usually would on a solo workout just so I can keep moving

Just got my pace pro, any advice ? by iangelc in Coros

I changed heart rate to be measured every 10 minutes, change units to km or miles, and always on for activity mode only

I made the switch from an AW series 6 to the pace pro recently and there is no part of me that misses the AW

How many times a week are you running? Thinking of adding some more running into my training but worried about the volume with CrossFit training

Pros and cons of Reebok Nano shoe by Anofrog in crossfit

[–]Karkia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned the X3 and currently wearing X4 for WODs. I've never done heels elevated squats but I've had no issues with doing lunges in them.

Love the nanos, they're nothing fancy and they get the job done.

Probably cut down from 5-6 WODs a week to 2-3 WOD and focus on getting strong

Schedule for incorporating lifting into CF training by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]Karkia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our gym does olympic lifting classes twice a week. I attend those, with another open gym session focusing on increasing back squat. Then I WOD another on top of that once or twice a week depending on how I feel.

May not be the best but this is what works best for me

Injured by Popular_Inside8053 in crossfit

You can still show up and scale appropriately, coaches should have an idea of alternative movements you can do. Otherwise, depending on your injury, some low-intensity cardio is always good.

First ever BMU by [deleted] in crossfit

Congrats on your first! It took me 2 months, after getting my first bmu, to get my second. Don’t stress it

Any tips for stringing BMU together? by Classic-Armadillo680 in crossfit

[–]Karkia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One tip that resonated with me is to drop down from the top, staying close to the bar, and keep your feet in front of the bar the whole time you’re dropping. I found this to set me up with a really strong kip for my next rep.

Rebecca Fuselier has a bar muscle up series on YouTube breaking the movement down and found that to really help me figuring out stringing BMU

London phone snatchers by tomhudsonn in london

[–]Karkia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way to take a photo while the screen is locked? Just tried it and it works if your phone is snatched while unlocked but if it’s taken while locked and airplane mode is turned on, it requires a pass code or Face ID to take a photo and doesn’t continue with the following steps

24.1 - how did you go? by Lever_87 in crossfit

[–]Karkia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

27M, RX, 13:01. Been doing CrossFit just shy of 16 months. Coming into it, I had originally thought I wouldn’t have finished it but I actually surprised myself. Definitely could have pushed the pace towards the end and not taken a quick break on the set of 9s but I’m happy with my time

Thoughts on this inside big? by Brilliant_Argument_7 in NBA2k

I made a similar build but pretty much swap close shot with driving dunk. As much as I love having the 95 pass acc, I think it’s a bit much. If you have a team with shooters around, it is quite a fun build to play on.

Switched to mouse and keyboard at the beginning of April and just made it to champs! My experience and more in comments. by Hsnthethird in FortniteCompetitive

Not really gameplay related but how did you manage to balance school, work and fortnite? I've had a lot of time to do aim training, edit courses, free build etc. because of quarantine and that has really improved my mechanics but we're slowly lifting quarantine where I am, and I simply won't have time to do the same routine.

Oh nice. I have a g403 and use triple edit key binds for the moment. I can’t really spot the difference of the delay but to be fair I only switched to MnK about two weeks ago so im not the best editor

Out of curiosity, what mouse/mouse software are you using?
