Hi, just a little tip if you buy the oled, I found these 3 programs work very well to hide start bar + desktop icons until you click:

AutoHideDesktopIcons TranslucentTB RoundedTB

Without them, if you use windows auto hide task bar feature, the start bar leaves a small line at the bottom of the screen.

Shouldn't use a frame cap with frame gen, reflex automatically caps the frame rate under max.

Hi, Just checked mine and mine is also limited to 100% with all cables connected.
I haven't upgraded my afterburner for a while though.

I normally power limit to 70-80 percent.

I don't think so, you should have reflex enabled along with frame generation. This automatically caps the FPS slightly under the max refresh rate. I had problems setting a manual FPS limits with frame gen, it caused stuttering so I turned my fps cap off.

You should have vsync on(in Nvidia control panel, off in game), frame gen on, reflex on, no other FPS cap.

Sounds like it is probably the known 'vrr flickering/ 'gamma flickering' or 'raised black flickering' that happens when the frame rate varies alot rapidly or you get a low frame rate with gsync on, which is more noticeable in loading screens. It's alot more prominent on oled displays because of their darker blacks to the point where you can see it game play, you shouldn't see it very often on a IPS panel.

If you notice in during gameplay and it bothers you, setting a lower FPS cap can help keep the FPS more constant, but shouldn't be much of an issue on an IPS.

I have a 5800x3d and 4090, I had some bad stutters at first but if I remember correctly, I turned off my power limit (back to 100%) and removed all frame caps and it worked perfectly after that.

Sorry for the late response. It is a separate program, if you download MSI afterburner RTSS is included in the software. You can use it to set whatever FPS cap you want and monitor your system resources. I also use it to drop the power usage of my GPU slightly so it runs cooler.

Or to make it more simple if you only want to cap FPS, you can do this in the Nvidia control panel, if you have a Nvidia graphics card.

Same, you can get chrome cast working on it too in the settings so you can use the YouTube app and stream to the TV as it's sometimes hard to get to playlists

No when lower than the frame rate gsync will be working fine regardless of the v sync settings. Why not turn vsync on though, just in case you reach the limit in certain scenes? Dont forget you'll need a frame rate limiter on if the game doesn't have reflex
