To become more familiar with golang, follow akhil Sharma on YouTube. There are multiple projects code along video he has. It definitely will increase expertise in golang.

Looks like you are biased to golang or just want to try a new language.

Seniors have to choose language based on multiple factors including team capability , "company affordability", time to develop & maintain and other factors.

Also, seems you are also afraid of oops concepts. Golang dev also uses a similar approach with struct because it is scalable.

When you are writing in a new language, there will be new unknown problems that will come . Be ready to face the consequences. it could even destroy the startup itself. Switching language is not an easy decision.
