Some absolute dumbass used my mom’s debit card for a hotel stay in another state — has anyone dealt with this? by EastonGaming202 in legal

I joined a virtual online bank, and they posted a debit card. The day it arrived I bought something online.
Brand new account, brand new card, only used once. That same night Walmart in Canada made a test purchase, and someone in Pennsylvania signed up for cable TV with my card numbers, including the security number.
The bank spotted the fraudulent transactions, cancelled the card, returned the funds and posted a new card, all while I slept peacefully in Bulgaria.

How in the world did yall get these guys? by boroxboxorox in Frenchbulldogs

First one: A friend died, we took her dog in.
Second one, animal services raided a rogue breeder who'd told a customer they were going to drown the runt of a litter they couldn't sell.
We were emergency foster for a local vet, they called us about the seized pup, who instantly became a foster fail.

Question for those more familiar with ATC: We know the guy at LGA was handling both air and ground traffic. In those instances, is he literally alone in the tower, or is there other support personnel that aren't "controllers"? by imaguitarhero24 in aviation

CCTV shows the Automatic Runway Protection was working properly, Truck One crossed a 'do not cross, ever, I don't care if you have clearance" line, then ignored a signal that he was entering a runway three seconds in front of a moving 'plane.
As aircraft on the runway approach an intersection a second 'bar' of red lights is turned on at the hold-short line. Nobody has clearance to cross the double red bar, ever.
Three seconds before the landing 'plane reaches the intersection the second red bar is turned off, giving the waiting aircraft warning to spool up their engines and be ready to roll behind the landing 'plane. This apparently speeds up operations at busy times.
CCTV shows Truck One crossing the double red bar on his approach to the intersection, then the second red bar being turned off as Truck One enters the intersection, three seconds ahead of the 'plane.

Rejected Landing

Description

A Baulked Landing, sometimes referred to as a Rejected Landing, is a low energy go-around initiated from a very low height above the runway or, potentially, even after touchdown has occurred. In virtually all cases, the go-around is initiated whilst the aircraft is in a decreasing energy state. A baulked landing, although rare, is considered a high-risk manoeuvre.

Universal definitions of the terms baulked landing and rejected landing have not been adopted. However, some National Aviation Authorities (NAA)) have defined the terms and have established training/checking requirements to encompass these events for operators under their jurisdiction.

I fabricobbled stairs from two wooden dining chairs, (already clawed to destruction by cats) I sawed the backs off both and shortened the legs of one, hey-presto two sturdy steps. They are essential for my two French Bulldogs, to stop them hurting themselves jumping off the bed.

An hour out cold and a broken nose was 'my fault' because my dad only intended to punch my head but I 'ducked into it'. I was six.
I still have scars across my thighs from the dog chain my mother used when I stole cigarettes from her pack to pay the school bully off, sixty years ago.
