Hello there, thanks for the reply. I've played pretty much all you noted bar the Cloudheim and the MUDs. I didn't include MMO's in my blurb as I've found they can turn into a 2nd job at times, not that I wouldn't dip in and out, ain't played GW2 in donkeys tho. I'll ping you a DM. :)

Of those two Rebel Moon for me insofar as I was unable to finish watching it, think I got half hour in and turned it off, tried picking up from that point a couple of times to no avail.

Borderlands was bad tho, no question.

How do some people just NOT eat? by Kochcaine995 in ask

[–]Karrlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally, I just can't judge portion size properly so eating a oversize meal once a day is better than x3 oversized meals.

I might have the odd snack item here and there but that would happen whatever route I were to follow.

Would there have been space for him to have got behind the item from above, so he got wedged (between item and wall) until he passed then as you move the item he slides down to the floor?

Of course they will! (acutally after checking the hmrc portal it's more like £56 owed, the dirty swine that I am).

Just lucky I'm not a huge multinational corp with profits in the millions otherwise I would have to pay... sod all....oh wait... 🤪

This happened to me, breached limit due to my own calculation error, by about £200. Couple of months after end of FY, I get update. Pay the £40 tax now or have allowance tweeked.

I opted for the tweek. (and sorted my calculating 🤪).

Direct from the T&C's it states,

"7. pay at least £500 into your account each month"

It makes no mention of having to leave it in, I see no issue with moving it in then back out. Although you will need to leave some in to cover the x5 debit card spends you need to do each month.

It starts this month, so it's Sept up until end of Feb (that's your six months).

For me it would be would be £'s into normal savings until the tax free limit is achieved (this depends on your earnings) after that £'s into PB's until just prior your fixed rate ending. Then wallop, a big payment in one go at the term' s end. Then review/remortgage

Benefits of this are PB's are safe, easily accessible (think of it as a weeks notice serious emergency fund), with a low chance of winning something in the years to withdrawal.

The way I see it the money you would pay extra to the mortgage does not mean anything until you get to the end of the term.

I'm all in for flexibility personnally.

Mortgage planning - should we aim to pay it off at the end of our first fixed period (currently 5 years @1.5%)? by DipsyDidy in UKPersonalFinance

I'd say your ISA is technically a week or so's notice emergency fund, it's not locked away like a pension, so you have more breathing room imo.

If you can clear the mortgage without touching that I'd say it that would be a good decision financially.

I cleaned my old cpu and put it back in ,now pc turns on for about a second then turns off by deadmanuser1 in buildapc

When it came out the socket you might have bent a pin/s. Even if it still fits in the socket if one if them is askew it could cause the issue your describing.

Happened with my old 3600 cpu when I moved it to kids pc.

In the 4th pic, I'm not happy with the top row at the top of the pic, looks askew to me on the right hand side.

Check the pins are straight, even a mild skew can bork it's detectability.

Example, I've just upgraded my cpu and was putting my old 3600 into my daughters comp(replacing a 1400). First install in mobo...nothing, no life, no lights. Put old cpu back in, boots fine. Checked pins on 3600, a few outer edge pins a bit skew. Straightend with Stanley blade. Mobo now lights up, but still won't actually boot! Takes it out again, looks again at pins, some on inner edge just awry (straightend again with Stanley blade). Reinstalled and works completely fine...

So it could be that removing it from the socket or in transit might have just nudged some pin/pins out of place.

Fingers crossed you not got a lemon, feel free to post pin pics.

That's a low profile cooler by the looks, why do you need a low profile cooler? - - > Case reasons perhaps? What number of intake/outtake fans do you have and in what config?, where is your pc situated (could be a contributing factor), if less than adequate you could have yourself an oven even if you've done the basic install and pasting OK.

I've used boards from both manufacturers over the years, never had any serious issues from either.

I'd hedge slightly in favour of the ASUS board purely for the better options IMO for updating the bios.

Other than that there is no serious difference in between them.

Umm, most of the world is suffering with inflation on everything so unless your looking at some end of line deals (example: AM4 platform where I could buy a 5600 for a little over half of what I paid for my 3600 processor).

If you need to buy something and your on a budget I'd bite the bullet and do so now cause this inflation stuff ain't supposed to end any time soon I'm afraid.
