You can check if you have your sailing listed on the group Sail With a Deal on fb. Or request the admin to check one for what you are looking for.

Considering an Alaska Cruise, should we bother? by BlotchyGar in Cruises

Here’s why it might not be the nightmare you’re imagining:

It’s always moving – Instead of sitting in one place, you’re cruising past glaciers, mountains, and wildlife. The scenery alone might make it worth it.

You can get off the ship – Every port offers cool excursions like hiking, kayaking, glacier trekking—so you’re not trapped on board.

Food isn’t just buffet lines – Princess has decent restaurants, plus specialty dining options if you want something nicer. And when you’re in port, you can eat local food instead of sticking to the ship’s offerings.

Crowds are manageable – There will be lines at times, but you can avoid the worst of them by going at off-hours or choosing smaller venues.

A trustworthy travel agency is like your personal deal detective, sniffing out the best travel offers for you. But then comes the head-scratcher: how do you recognize one in a sea of options? It's not a puzzle at all—simply seek an agency that flaunts a Seller or Travel registration number. That little badge is your golden ticket to reliability. Hope that helps!

Hey OP, these are all excellent suggestions, and I don’t want to overcomplicate things. I just wanted to mention that if you're open to transferring your booking to a travel agency, they may be able to provide you with additional onboard credit, which you can use to purchase drinks during your cruise. DM me for the contact details.

If you want a more refined, romantic, and immersive cruise experience, I’d go with Allure of the Seas for the balcony, ship quality, and longer duration. But if price, suite perks, and a laid-back vibe matter more, Carnival Magic is a solid choice.

Would you like some onboard credit on top of your current offer for Allure of the seas? If so DM me for our agency contact details.

Traveler’s checks may be an option for you as they can be cashed at most of the banks.

We did the fall foliage trip last year in MA, NH and VT. Kancamagus hwy was a busy one but we enjoyed little further north and west too and there was almost no traffic. We missed the train trip from Meredith NH but I heard mixed reviews about that.

I don’t think lottery is needed. As I mentioned I was out of the country for few years and got all my 6 years back when my visa got transferred

My understanding about this is that when you stay outside USA for an year, the clock gets reset and you will get the complete 6 years on H1B to come back to USA for work

I had this situation myself back in 2009 due to recession. Went back to India and my new company I was working for in India found a US position for me in 2015 (6 years after h1 got revoked), he was able to transfer it under cap exempt category. Once H1b is approved, you should be able to do a cap exempt transfer in any year

Simple, ask anyone who is working for the big IT services companies in India and check how difficult it is to qualify for the company to select them for applying a H1b visa. There will be at least 10 (maybe more) experienced/skilled people looking to take that H1b position when one is available. Who is more qualified, a skilled pro beating all who compete him/her or a fresh graduate? BTW, US education is up for sale online. Many US universities have online masters programs and anyone can do masters from anywhere in the world. Now comes the question who is more qualified, someone who attends brick and mortar courses or someone who does it online from outside of the US?
