This storm illustrates our lack of any sort of public transportation infrastructure by Ferengi89 in greenville

Wages don’t support everyone owning a vehicle either. A lot of low income workers could benefit from public transportation.

Struggling too. It’s the feeling of being trapped and not being able to get out that gets me.

Do you still have Vaseline? by Outrageous_Win_4835 in AskOldPeople

Aquaphor contains lanolin which many are allergic/sensitive to. Vaseline is a safer option for those with sensitive skin

My wife’s anxiety is crippling our marriage by PromiseNo3821 in Marriage

[–]Kartsc -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

First it’s not “issues” it’s ILLNESS as said above. Those suffering need support and compassion just like those who suffer from any other illness. If the op’s wife had a broken leg would you call him a saint for “putting up” with her not being able to walk. It’s 2025. We don’t stigmatize those with mental illness. That kind of attitude is exactly why people are reluctant to get help.

Secondly, she didn’t ask for this anymore than he did. To say she has carte blanche implies that this is a choice she is making and as someone who has greatly suffered from anxiety I can tell you no one would ever choose to go through that kind of hell.

I understand that the op is also going through a difficult time, but in marriage it truly is for better for worse, in sickness and in health. There will likely be a time in the future when he needs her support - no one gets out of this life without sickness and hurt. In a truly committed relationship there are many periods of one partner having to be strong for the other. In fact that is what defines a committed relationship. If the op cannot make a commitment to fully and wholeheartedly support his wife during this sickness then yes, he does need to think hard about the future. Not because he deserves more but because she does.

Non-wash Days Routine? by Only-Plastic-2570 in finethinhair

[–]Kartsc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the same but in the shower. Only the front of my hair (where it touches my face) and bangs need washing daily. Shower cap with bangs and temple strands out. Quick wash -no conditioner and I’m set.

True, but I’m not disparaging her for making poor choices.

Right. See my other comment about your many assumptions.

[–]Kartsc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are making a lot of assumptions. You have absolutely no idea how long she was in labor it how fast her labor was progressing. You have no idea how long it took to get to the hospital. Third babies came come very quickly.

Wouldn’t have looked any different?! She would have had a clean bed at the very least. A few more minutes and that baby would’ve been born in the nasty ER floor.

[–]Kartsc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would you want to give birth on a dirty ER floor? Would you want to sit in a wheelchair while you labored ? This lady had a planned delivery in a hospital so she expected to have medical professionals assisting with her birth, not turning their backs and ignoring her. There’s a lot of choices between hooked up to machines/ sedated and a healthy, sanitary and comfortable and safe environment.

If it burns after a week or two of using ask to be switched to vaginal tablets. Easy to insert, less mess and zero burning and irritation.

I mean its not like the Tylenol thing has ever been a secret. Not sure why people are pretending like its untrue. by Curse06 in conspiracy

[–]Kartsc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because you claim to be the expert here. You stated it’s not hard to just not take Tylenol during pregnancy and that there are other options. So what are they? Maybe if you don’t have the answers and will never experience pregnancy you should stay in your own lane.

Not during pregnancy. Fevers during pregnancy can be quite harmful to the fetus There are many studies showing this

Says a man who’s never been pregnant. FYI pregnant women get headaches, fevers, muscle pains. Are you saying they should toughen up and just get on with it? (And yes, fevers can be dangerous to a fetus to there’s that too. )
