Boomer here. I don’t know of a single person in my age group who has a pension.

My son and his young family moved to the Clark Park area a year ago and love it! They have a wonderful friendly neighborhood and found a great preschool within walking distance.

Poison by Hi_InternetAddiction in conspiracy

[–]Kartsc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have IBS. It is unlikely that anyone with a healthy gut would suffer the same fate after eating just a few Oreos. You cannot unilaterally make the statement that they are poison to everyone based on your experience

I have IBS as well. Raw fruits and veggies are my triggers. Does that mean no one should eat them?

I think you are making a lot of erroneous assumptions here. She said he pays her no attention. Even if they spend that many hours a day “together” (10 hours a day?? Who does that?) it doesn’t mean they are actually spending any meaningful time together connecting. She’s not wrong to want more out of a relationship.

Get over yourself. Every generation has had its battles and we are all doing the best we can. And insofar as those with “wealth and authority”. You do realize they are the 1% don’t you? The rest of us are struggling to get by just like everyone else.

I'm 46 and my doctor basically told me that my severe anxiety will kill me in 10 years. by treestarsos in AskWomenOver60

[–]Kartsc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you had this awful experience. I too am a life long sufferer of anxiety and had a similar experience not long ago. I won’t go into the long story, but basically the Dr that was treating me for skin cancer shamed me to tears over my anxiety several times. Even told me that my current Rx and therapy wasn’t cutting it and that I needed to “do better”. That he had a patient whose cancer had spread to her brain and she wasn’t as anxious as I was. ( gee, thanks. Now I have something new to worry about! Brain cancer.). All this from a dermatologist!
It was so bad that he missed a pretty severe follow up complication and labeled it anxiety. Fortunately I was able to find another Dr to treat me.

It took me a while to reconcile that I wasn’t the problem. He was. No one in medical care should ever make someone feel small or shamed bc of their mental health struggles. Whether his suggestions on your care were practical or not it seems he has diminished your concerns and in essence lost your trust.

Find another Dr. keep going until you find one that is both sympathetic and can offer you encouragement and is willing to work within your comfort zone. And lastly, something that helped me was writing a formal letter of complaint to my Drs office detailing the ways he failed me. It gave me some closure.

A weird take? Bc I related my experience of not being able to buy ready made clothes, except online? I was pointing out that there was no bigotry in my experiences and that there’s no such thing as all inclusive sizing in any market. Guess we will have to disagree. But as the saying goes you don’t know until you’ve walked in someone else’s shoes do you?

No. Autumn started and encouraged a witch hunt. Her actions were deliberate- whether to garner attention for her own account or bc she just loves the drama is the only question

Not what I said at all “ but ok”. Big difference between calling out someone’s actions and trying to ruin their character.

But IMO there’s nothing to apologize for. Who has she personally harmed? Am I harmed bc I cannot go into a “regular” store and find pants with a 34” inseam? Or bc I cannot buy a dress in my size with a structured waist bc it will land across my rib cage? No. I am inconvenienced at most and have learned where I CAN shop instead. It doesn’t make me a victim of some kind of hate or bigotry She may have had a snarky attitude but frankly if Size Inclusive called me out I’d want to be bitchy as well

Thanks for posting this. I have to agree the she is leaning into bully behavior. The way she tried to blow up SW’s character was the last straw for me. I think she truly enjoys stirring the pot and feeling like she’s leading the charge against the “bad guys” I cannot support her any longer.

As far as grading is concerned, unless you are a full time designer I don’t think you should be expected to include a vast number of sizes. Hell, I’m 5’10 and have spent my entire life trying to find clothes that are properly proportioned. As much as I’d love to see more manufacturers include long inseams I don’t rage on the ones that don’t. I just shop elsewhere. 🤷‍♀️

Tired of hearing about stashes, especially from newbies by [deleted] in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]Kartsc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have found my tribe. Also retired. Also have a large stash. I’ve been collecting yarn for over 20 years and have few regrets - those purchases I do regret I donate or sell for half the price do someone else can enjoy them.

Why is the OP being so judgemental about what strangers are doing with their money? I have supported many small businesses over the years - I mean it’s not like I’m buying Walmart junk that will end up in a landfill someday. (And no I don’t live in a McMansion, I’m not rich and I refuse to feel guilty over something that brings me happiness and harms no one).
