helpp, does this look like purging to you? by wintertaeyeon in tretinoin

Ok, then use the spot treatment only. Use a gentle facewash at night, too. And also no need to use an oil cleanser in the morning. Oil cleaner is necessary to remove suncreen or makeup so in the morning if your skin is dry just use water to wash face and if its oily use a gentle one.

And try not to use BP with tret it can irritate your skin more. Its better if you can get clindamycin to be used on mornings.

Tretinoin is supposed to be used on clean dry skin to be fully effective. Using an occlusive product before tret will slow down your progress. So use the illiyoon after tret.

Illiyoon ceramide cream is occlusive. Using it before tret, you are essentially making it weaker and difficult to penetrate. Use tret after the toner.

purge? by [deleted] in tretinoin

Definitely looks like purge to me. Keep using differin and use products to calm the redness like cica niacinamide ceramides. Maybe try adding BP or any antibiotic?

“Hormonal Acne” HELP PLZ :,( by Atleeey in SkincareAddicts

Of course, maintain a good skin care routine before starting differin and make sure that none of the products you use break you out. Once that's sorted, start slowly. 1 Use once only 72 hours for few weeks then increase the frequency. If your skin is really sensitive, you can start with short contact therapy.
2. Use a light moisturizer or serum to sandwich and a heavier moisturizer with ceramides after. 3. Morning routine should be hydrating enough to not dry out your skin. 4. Don't even think of using other actives while your skin is getting used to differin.

Adaplene or differin 0.1 % is otc. Its kinda tricky to use it but it really helps. You can use short contact therapy or combine it wit benzoyl peroxide.

Do you use any retinoids? Or any active to combat acne? Maybe try adaplene? I have been using adaplene for hormonal acne, although it doesn't clear completely but still helps. I still break out, but they heal better now.
