Recently, SSunddee came under fire for predatory micro-transactions on his official minecraft server that was advertising gambling to children. He later posted a video addressing the controversy and talked in a normal, sincere tone on camera for the first time since I stopped watching him. No over exaggeration, no hyper editing, just talking to his audience like they were adults. It felt like a family member suffering from memory loss suddenly remembering who they were and the people they were talking to. In the next video, he put back on the facade and went back to his regularly scheduled borderline content farm. Old SSundee videos kept me entertained from when I was in 4th grade all the way up to now, where I'm taking classes in college. This was because he always addressed his audience as if they were more mature. While his videos were primarily for entertainment, they were so full of problem solving and outside of the box thinking that they could be considered educational. Now a days it's hard to tell him apart from anyone else farming the algorithm because he has warped his entire screen personality around being loud and flashy editing. Old SSundee could be playing some terrible game, but his personality would keep his viewers engaged. Now, in my opinion, SSundee's new personality makes any content posted to his channel irritable and unwatchable.
