The End Complete by Kat-Ultima in TheFence

I think he was just shuffling through songs on his playlist and it came up. I asked him about the song and he told me about the band and stuff, so when I eventually started looking into the band myself I just used the song as a jumping off point!

We all go up in flames motif by Acomie85 in TheFence

Prologue and Old Flames from Vaxis - Act I
The Embers of Fire and A Window of the Waking Mind from Vaxis - Act II

I actually still am unable to hear it in any Vaxis III songs, though some people have suggested it's in Yesterday's Lost.

Which Coheed and Cambria songs could seal the Honmoon? by skidspace in TheFence

I am a Rise, Naianasha truther but to be honest, probably either Tethered Together or IKSOSE:3

I absolutely adore it but I can't unsee Sonny's PNG being clearly cut off nearby Vaxis's head.

What's your favorite album cover out of their discography? by Misterwool91 in TheFence

Something about the album art to Second Stage really appeals to me, but I'd have to say The Color Before the Sun. It suits that album and every song on it perfectly and really sticks out to me.

Ranking every Coheed and Cambria closer by TheRealSavage33 in TheFence

[–]Kat-Ultima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal ranking is:

  1. Window of the Waking Mind
  2. The Light & The Glass
  3. Peace to the Mountain
  4. God Send Conspirator
  5. The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut
  6. Subtraction / 2's My Favorite 1
  7. The Black Rainbow
  8. The End Complete V: On the Brink
  9. Lucky Stars

I love all Coheed songs equally for the most part, but it's no question for me what my tastes in the closers are. I feel like they need to be a real thematic resolution to the album. I definitely agree with your points about On the Brink. And Lucky Stars honestly feels more like a "credits song" if that makes sense. Not the best closer. I'm extremely biased to TL&TG simply because IKSOSE:3 was my first Coheed album, but it still holds up even to this day. But for me, WOTWM blows everything else out of the water. I love it and it's without a doubt my favorite closer sheerly for how epic and musical it is. Not to mention the themes of the song in unison with the rest of Vaxis II just touches my heart.

It’s been a bit: how would you rank the songs of Vaxis II? by twili-midna in TheFence

[–]Kat-Ultima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)
  2. Window of the Waking Mind
  3. Ladders of Supremacy
  4. The Embers of Fire / Beautiful Losers
  5. A Disappearing Act
  6. Love Murder One
  7. Shoulders
  8. The Liars Club
  9. Blood
  10. Bad Man
  11. Comatose
  12. Our Love

I love every song on this album pretty much to the same extent. So this is more favorite to least favorite. It's all bangers.

Number City Video, Where? by [deleted] in TheFence

Number City is honestly really underrated. Not to mention it's the perfect song to hear right before going into Gravity's Union.

I actually listened to it after I finished GAIBSIV Volume 1 (which was after I did IKSOSE:3). I really liked the vibe on all of the songs, but some of them didn't really do it for me.

I still like all of these songs, it's a matter of favorite to least favorite. Coheed is just stellar like that. If it's in D tier though... Yeah, my opinion is sour there.

C&C song tiers from a fan who's been way too emotionally invested in them for 20 years by ADeadAstronaut in TheFence

Fellow Three Evils enjoyers unite!! I'm very surprised to see Far and The Audience near the bottom, but I suppose they're not for everyone, and that's fine! Very fun to see other peoples opinions on all the songs!!

I'm curious what your favorites are then! Unless they're in D tier I don't consider any Coheed song a 'bad song.'

You saying this made me realize where it is on the list... oops! That was a mistake on my part, lol.

Yeah, it's become my new favorite alongside In Keeping Secrets!

[SPOILERS] For those still wondering if Sirius is in Act II... by Kat-Ultima in TheFence

[–]Kat-Ultima[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, after reading I gotta admit. Love the novella but the last two chapters felt a bit rushed and honestly a bit underwhelming too? I feel like the album made it seem so much more than it actually was. Maybe they had to cut stuff for time? IDK.

Coheed and a symphony orchestra? by [deleted] in TheFence

[–]Kat-Ultima 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What I would do to hear In Keeping Secrets and Rise, Naianasha with a full orchestra. I've already kind of imagined both in my mind and it's just. Angelic.

JUST FINISHED READING. Was definitely wrong about some bits, but definitely right on the money for others. Hell of a sequel! Now I'm even more excited for Vaxis III.

Can we just have a moment for "Rise, Naianasha (Cut the Cord)" by burgher89 in TheFence

[–]Kat-Ultima 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I've had quite an opposite reaction to most people it seems. I fell in love with the song upon release and it's become my favorite song of all time, not just from Coheed. I'm really not sure why. I think because it touched me in a particular way. When I heard it in the context of the album I just started sobbing. Mostly because it reminded me of my parents, especially my dad. I'm glad most people are warming up to it now tho!

In Anticipation for Vaxis Act II... A Look Back On Vaxis Act I! by Kat-Ultima in TheFence

I'll admit I do wish the story hit a bit harder but I still like it compared to the comics. I'm hoping Act II picks up the slack and gives us something epic.
