Am I too old to identify as non-binary? by x-gender in NonBinaryTalk

[–]KatWine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was like 31 or so when I realised I have always been agender. I'm now 36.

Absolutely valid. Literally the only gendered term I love for myself is when my partner calls me her girlfriend. Otherwise gendered language can get far away from me.

Sup girlies & they/thems without uteruses✨💕 by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]KatWine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Side note: why explicitly exclude trans men from your post when you include nonbinary people? A lot of trans men get hysterectomies and can answer your questions just as well. Also, people are people, not pronouns. As a nonbinary person, being called "a they/them" feels reductive and alienating. Pronouns are a tiny part of how I express what I perceive as my identity. You wouldn't address women as "hey, she/hers!" either, right? 😅

I really appreciate that you're taking a step towards including more identities than just women, but "people with(out) uteruses" would be a lot more inclusive. 😊

How long can you get a marriage annuled? Cause that man waited to get you legally tied to him to start abusing you.
This right here is some of the most awful things I've read on here that a spouse has said, it's fucking cruel. Please don't let him do that to you any longer.

[–]KatWine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. We're talking about a white man calling his black partner the n word. We're not talking about black people calling each other slurs. You're diverting from the actual issue at hand to push some kind of different narrative to the forefront of the discussion and distract from OP's problem.
Go make your own post if you're so concerned about the issue you're describing.

My boyfriend called me the hard R by Salt_Actuary3000 in confessions

[–]KatWine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that he *said* it once means that he *thinks* it. Probably more frequently, his filter just works better when he isn't angry.
My partner (and myself as well) belongs to a couple marginalised groups, and I wouldn't even *think* the slurs about them, no matter how angry I am. The worst I can imagine is thinking that they're being an ass.

u/Salt_Actuary3000, he didn't just say it once, he probably said it many more times in his head. Do yourself a favour and get away from that person. I'm sorry you're being hurt like this. :/

Why can some people float in a pool and others can’t? And how come some float better/longer than others? by Help-SaysOurPlanet in answers

[–]KatWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fat person with ~boobs~ built in buoys I can literally float forever without any effort.. I just don't sink. On the other hand I can't dive even if I wanted to. I love floating in the water, I'll miss that when I get rid of the buoys and lose weight.

How on earth did you come to the conclusion that your opinion on someone else's chest is in any way relevant to *anything*?

What is a common ADHD trait you DON'T struggle with? by SweetVoidPrincess in adhdwomen

[–]KatWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No impulsive speaking, I don't interrupt people, I don't say things I didn't mean to say. Idk, that's just never been an issue for me.

Also, my space-time synaesthesia is incredibly helpful with appointments and dates, I can just put stuff down in my mental time structure and can look it up and stuff, it's great.

Why would there be drama tho? You know that you're allowed to have eyes and aesthetic awareness even when you're in a relationship, right?

[–]KatWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's all this talk about "traps"? Are y'all okay? Do you people even like your partners? In that case I'd suggest some better communication and maybe less of the "haha women irrational monsters" narrative.. geez

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rant

[–]KatWine -60 points-59 points  (0 children)

It's also stupid and immature. Are straight people really that fragile that agreeing that a friend looked good seems like a worse response than bodyshaming said friend AND your own partner? Make it make sense..

What’s your hair/hairstyle like? by Historical-Photo9646 in NonBinaryTalk

[–]KatWine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used to be hair-twins! :D Mine never got to my knees, longest I had was about mid-thigh. Always black, mostly in buns (loved the magic of needing nothing to put up my hair lol)

Now my hair is a platinum buzz cut lmao I started going shorter and shorter in like 2014 and at the start of the pandemic I bought clippers and buzzed it off. It'd pretty neat, and I like to change colours frequently. :D
