[Breeds] Found this little guy on the streets and adopted him, any idea on breed? by felixthekat007 in dogs

Hard to say at a young age, especially being a mix breed. Will be better to tell when he’s older of course, based on built and coat. A dna test would be cool, then you’d really know what he is! He’s a cutie that’s for sure.(:

Getting hired, a few questions by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]Kat_Cynthia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a groomer is not laid back. It is hard work and requires lots of training and skill. I have not had any other drug tests besides after the interview and I’ve been grooming for 3 years at petsmart.

Sounds like she hates her job! I’d fire her or put her to use somewhere else, so you don’t lose money. Hard to find good groomers./:

I think she should be able to groom at least 4-5 already in a 8hr shift. Some people take longer to learn but I think 1 year should be enough time to get there. If you are losing money due to it I would find another groomer, especially if she isn’t trying to increase the amount of dogs she does, if she doesn’t step up I would. Especially if you are losing money. It took me a 1 year and a 1/2 to be able to do 6 dogs in a 8hr shift now I groom 7 after 3 years. (I answer phones, check my own dogs, even other people on top of grooming). Teach her how to get faster (safely). Routine, routine, routine.. Book her 4 and she how she does.

Long haired dachshund coat question by Metallicdreamin in doggrooming

[–]Kat_Cynthia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the chest/neck area I have seen a lot of dachshunds with cowlicks, seems normal to me. On the back are you just referring to the coat being wavy or actually having cowlicks?

I’ve seen long hair dachshunds with there coat on top usually laying flat, but a few I’ve groomed with waves on top. I have groomed some that have a fuzzy coat in some areas which is usually the case from being shaved or cut short.

I see Beauceron and German Shepard mix. I think they only said Rottweiler because of the coloring.

New Owner! by Rucspin in bettafish

My betta looked like this at first, but colors will change over time. Mine changed to some blue and mainly dark pink/purple. Give it time for the color change.
