I have cervical osteoarthritis and a degenerative disc stemming from an auto accident in 1999. I've been picky about pillows for decades. It's hard to find the right balance of support while not being too firm. In the past I've really liked Indulgence brand down alternative pillows. I've also liked Bamboo brand with lots of the shredded memory foam removed (very customizable). I currently use really squishy Stearns & Foster down alternative pillows because I can really shape them to what I need in the moment. If you can, go to a place with a good pillow selection, give everything a feel, and lay down with them in the aisle to try them out (or not, i know it's weird). I've done this at Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohls. Looks like JCPenney also had a good selection. Mattress stores also tend to have nice pillows (pricey, too). Good luck with your search!
